I got my replacement and the paint is much better, but the seam on the front sticks out very badly. Not sure how they managed it really. I give up.

I got my replacement head... took 4 or so days before they even shipped it... when they did ship got an email.

My poor R2 sassed back, he had to be destroyed...

Anyone paying FedEx fees on Sideshow purchases, check your bill carefully. I followed up my crazy R2 FedEx invoice. Turns out that SSC incorrectly declared the product info. FedEx added shipping on top of the SSC declared cost. $189.99 (which already included shipping) so they have been calculating duty on an incorrect amount. FedEx said the issue was caused by someone in Sideshow not filing correct shipping info.

Now, I wonder how many times, how long this has been going on for?
:(

There's a thread dedicated to this very subject:

It's very hit and miss what Sideshow decides to put down on the form.

OK folks, I think I'm happy with it now. I did a discreet blue test and it's not the way to go, so the blue panels are later. For now this is where the grunge level is going to be.

Another layer of wash and dirtied the feet a bit more, some bristle brush speckle, all of the silver bits have a bit of oil and grunge, the third leg recess area is darkened... trial and error. I painted the inside surfaces on the blue arms and added some oil to the recessed area where they fold in. I think I got close to where I wanted it to be, time to step away from the brushes.
