I thought I'd make a mock-up of this R2 to look at the height issue. I copied the picture from the Sideshow order page and resized it 6.75". I then put it beside a DX7 straight from the box (not futzed as he won't have a home for quite some time so back in the box he is now). These aren't the best pics as I don't have a good lighting source but you get the idea.

Even if this R2 is close to scale of the tamashii 3PO, it will still look off as my tam 3PO is on the stand [emoji24]

Whatever happens the height difference between this R2-D2 and a future SS C-3PO has got to be better than the Hasbro figures from the 1990s (the ones that came in either clean or dirty electronic versions).

That R2 was 6 1/4" to the top of his dome (not the silver thing on top); and C-3 was a giant at just under 12 1/4".

Mine works great. I wouldn't put him on a regular HT stand that's for sure

The clamp has the potential to damage the torso wires if the figure slips (I tried it out immediately when I opened the figure to see how it'd go - it was as weak as piss in terms of it's grip), & looks like crap too.

Ah. Mine grips fine, no damage to the wires either. The stand is kinda ugly though.

that's pretty close So I am fine with height since you posted this pic now i just need a C3PO i can afford and wont fall on R2 when standing up next to him. i just don't know why they didnt just say ****** it and make him a flat 7" why this 7/8's buisness.
