This one came out fantastic. The weathering is top-notch, and as previously mentioned, SS nailed the holographic sections. Well done, Sideshow!

I agree. He looks good, but I was wanting more sand and dirt applied.

Yeah. I still think it looks good I just hoped it'd look a bit more weathered up like it'd been around Tatooine for a long time. I still went ahead and told Sideshow to process my order early though so hopefully it arrives next week.

This guy has the same doors on the body as R2. I like that they weathered inside though. Obviously the openings on the dome are different but R5 didn't show that he had much in the movie.

You're right. What I should have said was they weren't operating doors like R2's. I prefer the look of the fixed panels on R5 as opposed to the hinged and moveable ones on R2.

this figure looks great!! i just got into the 1/6 scale and have been spending money like crazy trying to get stuff before it sells out. hopefully it will be around for a while. i would love to get him and the jawas after i get a few more main characters and some stormtroopers

It shows Sideshow staff doesn't coordinate there design development internally.

...it appears several subtly different ones were used. (differences just on the interior details) Probably just lenses with different focal lengths that had different internal components.

Yes, but I know sometimes it doesn't update until tomorrow. The only odd thing is usually as soon as it's charged the status changes to "shipping soon" and so far it hasn't.

My R5 shipped, shows delivery of Tuesday, but often I get FedEx overnight from Sideshow. So maybe...

Got my shipping notice from Sideshow. He'll be here Wednesday. There have been a lot of issues with Sideshow's customer service this month, but at least the shipping department is on point. Everything I've had on order has shipped the same day I've been charged this month. I hope that continues for the rest of the year.
