The one that comes with the Relic Hunter figures is quite nice...and metal to boot. Here is a pic (sorry to sully up this thread with a Medicom pic). It's pretty close to the actual prop:
Holy crap, up till now I had been assuming that Indy was a Hasbro version!!!
Hey A,
Did you get the exclusive, with torch and dart? That's gonna look really cool with the base IMO.
And I agree, shirt looks cheapo.
That's way better than the Hasbro versions. But which Medicom figure is this? It doesn't look like any of the ones that I had seen.
I'm canceling my exclusive, I was hoping that the new body had a skeletal structure and real flesh. The guns don't really fire and he has no socks! The hands have sculpted fingernails versus the real growing kind. Everyone knows that Harrison Fords bloodtype is B positive and Sideshow made it A positive, way to pay attention to detail Sideshow!! This figure is a joke! Why it doesn't even have teeth!!!
What about some colored pencils? Would that work? Watercolor paint watered down a bit might also work. I'm just not sure of the surface texture yet.The tricky part will be, how to make the 5 O'Clock shadow more a beard shadow and not a chin strap, or maybe just add flesh tone and remove it to just the sculpted stubble, not sure, but if in hand or in my photography it keeps looking like he's got a chin strap beard, i'll have to do something, that look is just totally innappropriate for Indy
It must be an illusion, but does Indy's head look larger than it did on the prototype?

The facial hair on Harrison Ford for Raiders was grown in a bit more than in the sequels. Above his lips in particular was much darker, especially in the philtral dimple as well as the hair under his chin. This is very evident in the standard movie poster as well as in the film. Ford wore a much cleaner appearance in the sequels.
I'm just not getting your post or why you quoted me?OMG!!! Yep, that's it...
I'm canceling mine too...fkin' SS....
What the heck happened to this thread?! There was some great entertainment going on with the back and forth jabs and now there's just too much Indy love...
So to stir things up, I'd like to pick on Indy's shirt. It looks bad. Almost like the factory in China had tons of the material that they used on the 12" Tatooine Luke shirt available and off it went to the Indy factory line...
It appears to be too thin (material-wise) and the color too yellow, instead of a light tan. There's the fraying as well, which gives it a cheapy look. As far as I can tell, it's really the only negative with this figure, in my opinion.
But I'm really liking the jacket. It nowhere near Sovereign Studio's work of art, but it's still nice looking. The pants look good as well. The gear is spot-on. I'm now really looking forward to the idol base.

You really need to lay off him on that one. We were discussing how to get the right stubble look, not even attacking the figure for any reason. Let it go.
Man, this is where retirement is great. Watching others go at it.
