Got my notice as well... :horror

Dear Valued Collector,

It is with great giddiness that I notify you that I accidentally wiped out all of your preorders from our database. We hope to resolve the problem sometime next year. If there are any questions, please feel free to keep them to yourself.

Best Regards,

You guys that live in California will probably get your Indys in a day or two. I noticed my Sam and Frodo took nearly a week to get to me since I live in Louisiana. You guys are very lucky to get figures so quickly!

Yeah but we have to pay California taxes on the figure its kinda a bummer.:D
Does Sideshow charge everybody that lives outside of California tax? Sorry if this dont make sense long day at work.

I've never been charged tax but the crappy state government here is thinking about making out of state companies charge us.

I hate that. When I lived in Ohio about five years ago they had a space on the tax forms for you to "voluntarily" list all out of state mail order/internet purchases in which you were not charged sales tax so that they could tax you on them. Of course I (and I'm sure everyone else) always listed zero. That's one of the nice benefits of online purchasing. I figure it's only a matter of time though before more states try to collect internet sales tax; they already realize how much revenue they miss this way.

I'm kind of surprised to hear about that from Washington though. When I lived in Portland, OR about three years ago I worked for a short time in a camera shop. So many people from Washington would make the drive to purchase expensive camera equipment since there was no sales tax there.

Oh, and no, I've never been charged sales tax from Sideshow either since I don't live in CA.

Well, that's true. We don't get charged the state tax like you in California do. So I guess the longer wait without paying state tax and shipping is okay.

Oh yeah. My notice just came across. I hope it's charged on Monday. The sooner the better. :D

No notice yet :( how soon do they charge your card after the notice?

It's usually a few days after your notice. But I've talked to Kathy at Sideshow before, and she'll charge your card on the phone with you. She did that for me with Frodo and Sam. I plan on calling her on Monday to put through the charge for my Indy. Give it a try. Call Sideshow customer service on Monday.

Noisetrigger, in person does either head look a little too large in relation to the body or is it just the photos making it appear that way?
Really appreciate the info you're giving us.
The head does teeny wee bit too big in person. Not as big as ROTJ Luke big but still big enough that it's really noticeable if he is not wearing his jacket. The narrow shoulders on Sideshow new body ain't helping either. I believe changing the body to a HT TT with the wider shoulders should improve the overall proportion more.

Asked this before but, Noisetrigger, since you actually have Indy in hand, can you confirm that the chamber on the revolver opens???? It also looks like the hammer works.

I have to call Monday for a shipping qoute since I have mine go 2nd day so I'll ask Kathy or whoever to charge me too.

Good idea. I should have asked for the quicker 2nd day shipping. Maybe Kathy can change that for me on the phone? I usually go for the cheapest shipping rate. I guess that's why it takes my figures from Sideshow nearly a week to get to me.
