Statue Sideshow 1987 Predator 1/5 Scale Statue

First time seeing this, looks very cool. I dont have anything predator that l really like, this could be it, 1/5 shouldn't be to big a deal. One problem l see is what another member said, the painted netting could kill the overall look. Too bad they dont have any real nettting for these.

weren't you the one that hated the size of the Neca Preds though? This statue is the same scale as those.

also does anyone know if this is the same 1:5 scale as the recently released big chap alien? it will be a very nice display duo with them facing each other, but only if they are same scale.

i really wish sideshow would clearly indicate what scale each statue is on the page instead of keep us guessing.

They do state it clearly so you don't need to guess.

It's 20" tall.

I have the wolf predator Diorama and the painted netting really is done well on it. Probably would be better if it was real net but the paint job is excellent and not sloppy at all up close. Judging by the up close pictures of this piece on the proto it does look sloppier than the Wolf Dio. Maybe it will be fixed later on though.

reread my post, i was asking the scale for the big chap alien not the predator, it's 16" high but that's meaningless with it kneeling down on a pedestal.

Judging by the up close pictures of this piece on the proto it does look sloppier than the Wolf Dio. Maybe it will be fixed later on though.

I think the masked version looks amazing personally, and for the unmasked version... SICK! Will be nice having it with two options! I have no idea where I am going to put this piece once I get a hold of it... The wife is gonna hit the roof soon... AVP stuff all over the gaff... Ahhhhh HEAVEN! Lol! Might have to put my Palisades Queen Alien or Warrior Alien in the attic or even ebay so I can fund the new stuff! Ahhh man! Hmmmmm??? I'll see!

On a serious note she loves the statues, prop replicas etc... Just as much as I do, but I take it to the next level by migrating to every room! Man this hobby is addictive and expensive! Glad my obsession is with Alien and Predator only...

Yeah the size is a little bit of a trurn off, but at least this is a statue and will look good next to other statues and not a piece of crap plastic figure that gets loose as soon as you touch it.

Yep, far more accurate..and only 80$. Destroys anything Predator SS has put out lately as far as I can remember.

And I'm confused as to why everyone is _____ing about the scale on this one.

I could care less, being accurate or made better are two different things. I liked the Neca pred when l first got him, then l got annoyed. l move him and he gets super loose, the stupid cheap netting rips, the soft rubber sucked, l don't like that figure anymore. l would much rather have this statue. There is a reason the Neca pred only cost $80. That pred figure just gave me more of a reason and confirmation of why statues are better.
