I can't wait to meet Adam in a few months!!!! I can only hope I'm fortunate enough to get a commissioned piece from him. All of these posts of his art work make me appreciate the opportunity more and more.

Well Adam has done this sorta thing before so it doesnt bother me as much as it does other people.

I like how it is done here, but I still don't like the Mystique print. She looks like she is floating parts. Emma here looks solid, she has a complete line going all the way around her which brings everything together and gives weight. If the background on the Mystique print was maybe tan to highlight the white areas of her costume or if the white areas were defined with shading it would have been way more successful. I love the skulls of the print, they are well done and I like the blue areas of Mystique. Not a big fan of the face, but it isn't horrible, maybe a tad too cute, too young. But I have to remember that how I see Mystique is not how everyone else sees her. It would be interesting to see this print displayed with the others. Due to so much white space, this print might actually stand out from the others. And maybe that is what Adam was going for.

We're also hoping to add a New York show and a Chicago show to the list. But I can't say at this time which ones they'd be.

I don't collect this line. Admittingly the only one of this entire line that I really liked was Mary Jane. White Queen was great but IMHO quickly became "meh". I hated and still do hate Black Cat. Think Rogue is "alright". Really dislike The Black Queen and feel its a wasted addition to a line. I like She-Hulk somewhat but not enough to buy. All that being said I love this piece. I think Mystique looks fantastic and I really like the print. Its stylized and definitely in line with AH!'s art not to mention its the closest to the actual piece fo the entire line IMHO and that is fantastic especially considering how much some of the prints differ from their inspiration.

I don't understand the dislike for this when in my opinion from someone who hasn't really liked much from this line its a step in the right direction from piece to print. Then again I'm not a sculptor, nor an accomplished artist, nor involved with the processes, hell not even a customer yet (I say yet because I'm seriously considering getting Mystique) so what the hell do I know.

talk to Adam about what? Venture Brothers isn't a property he's been asked to work on, so unfortunately there's nothing to talk about. Short of folks asking for these characters as con sketches, I think that's the only way we'll ever see them from Adam.

I don't care for the print. It doesn't look like Adam's work, IMO. It looks more like Allison's work. I mean, my wife would NEVER help me out if I were busy, especially if she were in the exact same field as myself..

I'm wondering, do you think someone somewhere said, "Well, we're really screwing the exclusive collectors by limiting the print so much. Maybe we should do a very lackluster print, so that they don't feel so bad?"

(waits patiently for the Saffron response that I'm being rude, and her defense that it is absolutely Adam's work)

I'm going to go ahead and respond to Allison's eventual reply: You need to get used to the fact that people are going to post their opinions on forums, and you shouldn't feel the need to rush in and defend Adam (or yourself) every time it happens. Especially when nothing you or I say is going to matter two weeks from now.
