So $240 is the new basic price point. That rules out making ANY secondary characters. That leaves SS with:

Dooku

Can't think of any other characters from the PT that would justify $240.

Only an EIII Anakin with switch out portraits, substantial accessories, base, and made by HT could justify this price range for PT.

Luke Pilot's exclusive has been available since it was offered a year ago.... if that is any indication of sales.

Given a year of sales, I would imagine SS had hoped that at least their exclusive would have sold-out before delivery. At least that used to be their plan.

It's hard to believe that extra set of hands isn't more highly sought after

Seriously though, they still have lots of people who like their stuff but it seems almost nobody trusts their preorders anymore. How could you given the price, paintwork, stock bodies, etc. I hope they improve on some of these issues. I'm considering red five, but not until I see hard evidence that he isn't another jango. In contrast I have several of the OT hot toys figs preordered because they have proven that they can deliver.

I'm not posting this because I hate sideshow. I have lots of their stuff that I really enjoy. But right now it seems the perception among most here(myself included) is that hot toys is delivering a superior product with more stuff for equal or less money. Not good

Ya, disappointed in SSC. For me, the accessories and display options made them worth the price (which was usually less than HT). Recently though, it looks like Deadpool is the only one that comes with a large amount of accessories. XWing Luke, Darth Maul, Green Lantern, Indiana Jones, even Punisher, all come with relatively few accessories. I didn't mind paying HT prices for SSC, as long the display options made up for it, but it's becoming really hard to justify SSC pricing. I'm guessing their Marvel Wolverine will be the last 1/6 of theirs that I buy...

A switch out angry sculpt, a stand, and a cloak, possibly would justify such a price. I'll stick to my custom Maul.

When previewed at SDCC I was anxious to see what they would reveal for the actual pre-order. Nothing. Not a thing. This is Bogus SS.

I have been a huge supporter of theirs, vocally and especially with my dollars. This is too much.

Just finish off the Bounty Hunters and get out of the business if you can't handle it SS.

Paid that for Hot Toys Ghost Rider and his big ass flaming bike.

I'm in the boat with the WTF crowd! I missed the first maul and the medicom one has the "height" thing going on. Now because SS decided to put this out we'll have to wait a while for HT. By then HT will be around 300 dollars, so maybe this is a case of ... we're boned. Perhaps they will update the figure with either a alt head sculpt, cloak, and single lightsaber? I mean why would they not at least offer what they did years ago?

Honestly, if it wasn't for HT I would have been pushed out of this due to SS and how they have treated their customers. SS customer service has gone to ***** over the last few years as has their quality control. Why on earth are people still supporting them? Things will not change unless SS feels less dollars in their coffers.

Hot toys is really putting the screws to SS with buyers expectations and price range. Not only have they have raised the level of 1/6 star wars figures but their speed in product output is just amazing.

I can't wait to see E3 Anakin and ROTJ Luke!
