Here's another shot I didn't post before with the Sandtrooper, which I think puts the height nicely into perspective.

Beautiful picture and arrangement. Family photo of Evil.

But Maul still looks small. I'm sorry, Benconallin, I know this drives you nuts. Talibane's right: the head is the problem.

I think the head is actually a good size especially for his height. I could definitely see him putting on that sandy helmet or the Vader helmet. Remember he is bald to no hair to help make the head bigger and he's a short guy, between 5'8" and 5'9", so it would make sense for him to be appropriately sized. Stormies and supposed to be about 5'11" or 6' so these three look right together to me. Dunno.

Also pics can also be a little distorting so maybe it's okay - it just looks that way to me in the pics I've seen. Fortunately Maul - like Indy as well - has iconic headgear that most would display him with on that lessens any small head issues.

Unfortunately, that headgear didn't come with this Maul (and even the TOD Indy had a too-large fedora.):gah::lol

Still can't believe this didn't come with the hooded cape/cloak.

I gave into Sideshow last week, taking advantage of the $50 off promo code, and now have mine. Aside from suffering from the aforementioned crooked blade mount holes in the hilt and the glaring lack of robes, Sideshow did a really nice job on this.

I stopped buying Sideshow manufacxtured pieces years ago due to the poor quality of the premium formats and 1/6 scale pieces. I had made a promise to myself that i was to buy another SS manufactured piece i would have to be certain it was a great piece. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one because of the $50 coupon and about $40 worth of reward points. I received him today and he is very impressive, I honesty had a hard time believing he was a SS piece. It incredible in hand IMG_0259.JPGIMG_0260.JPGIMG_0261.JPG

Did Sideshow allow you to double-up using both rewards & the coupon? Perhaps I am a bit slow, but I am always prompted to use one or the other - If so, that would have made mine dirt cheap as I have $65+ in rewards... :slap

Yeah, I didn't think you could double up like that, but they have recently started allowing special coupons (eg international customer ones) to be used on PO's which never used to be the case, and nothing in the coupon's T&C mention that. So it's possible you can combine some coupon codes with RP"s?

I just looked it up, I only got the $50 off coupon, i used my rewards on another figure i ordered at the same time. for some reason i thought i used the rewards and coupon on maul. I am sorry for the confusion. not sure if you can double up or not.

Thanks for clarifying!

I'm so stupid I didn't jump on that deal. But I will need to pick it up after Christmas. My old SS Maul looks like a toy compared to this and I can steal his robe.

The fit of the tunic/robes looks off. Especially at the shoulders/neck.

yeah his inner shirt should be taller at the collar and sideshows inner shirt is too tight. i think the outer robe is great but also couldve been made baggier. with a little futzing or even mix and match hes really a great figure! im hoping sideshows on the up swing!
