Nope your being completely rational. I would be pi$$ed and SS would know it. Based on the fact that you received confirmation prior to shipment is pure neglect. I would professionally rip them a new a$$ hole and ask for the right base

For the price you paid I wouldn't let it go neither.

So now we know what SS does. They keep extra blank bases on hand for replacements. Probably just not that many. And in this case with Deadpool they screwed themselves because the ex is gold compared to the reg which is red. I'll bet they have NO blank golds and few blank reds. Which explains why you got a red one. They just write the same edition number on it.

It has the right ES numbering on the bottom.

I don't know how big of a deal to make out of this with them.

It's not an EX base, there's no doubt about that...but, it has the correct numbering and is in better condition than my original...

It is a weird situation, especially considering the fact that you inquired to make sure it had the gold bottom and not the red....Is this the 1st piece to have different colors on the bottom of the bases for the reg and Ex ?

Bmutha did you get a response from SS confirming they sent you an exclusive gold base before or after they actually sent it?

I'll bet they said it was an ex simply because they wrote the same edition number on a blank for you to match. Btw man I don't think you're wrong here. They need to get it right or at least have the courtesy to be up front with you and let you know what they're doing. They probably don't see it as a big deal, but I also say give them a chance to correct it. Sometimes people screw up indirectly and unintentionally. Let's see how they handle it. :lecture

If it's not one thing it's the other. :lol Good luck. :peace

Got my replacement base in today. It's in great condition. The only problem is they sent me the wrong freaking base!! They sent me the regular base with the red/black colors on the bottom, not the gold!

Bloody hell. I even made sure to email them for confirmation that the replacement would be the EX base before it shipped.

This is BS.

I know it's a minor issue, and you never see the underside of the base, but this isn't an EX base. If ever I went to sell this piece, the buyer would think I'm a scammer trying to pass a reg as an EX. I don't plan on selling it any time soon, but this seriously devalues the piece, does it not?

I contacted SS right away, so we'll see if they can resolve this. I guess now I have to wait another 2 weeks for a resolution...

Am I being ridiculous here? On one hand I feel like I should be happy with a base that's in good condition...on the other hand, it's a different piece than the original.
Minor issue? It's a huge f up mate.
How hard can it be? :slap WTF are they playing at?

#407/1250...Everything in pristine condition except for the "chicken hand" I just had replaced. Now it's FLAWLESS!!!:yess:

#12/1250...Everything....FLAWLESS!!!:yess:

Yeah, I got an email back from the guy saying it would be the ex base BEFORE the replacement shipped.

I am definitely going to give them a chance to fix this. It's frustrating because now I have to wait 3 to 5 days just for a response, then 7 to 10 days for a (potential) second replacement to be shipped.

I'm going to have Batman in hand before this is resolved ;)

Sorry to hear about that bro hopefully they get that sorted for you but I wouldn't stress about the wait cause now you can display and take photos of the piece as the underside can't be seen. Not saying you shouldn't get the right one but in the meantime you can display a good looking piece with no problems.

I just tried to smash my damaged head and man this this is solid. Its like a rock. I went at it pretty good with a hammer and it took off some paint but barely put a dent in the thing. These things are tough.

I used a hand axe to break my defect joker head, only took 2 swings. I suggest you try that instead of a hammer.
