So now we know what SS does. They keep extra blank bases on hand for replacements. Probably just not that many. And in this case with Deadpool they screwed themselves because the ex is gold compared to the reg which is red. I'll bet they have NO blank golds and few blank reds. Which explains why you got a red one. They just write the same edition number on it.

I am sure that is what they did...I would bet that most people inside SS don't even know that the base on the EX is supposed to be gold.

Essentially what they have done, is turned my EX into a REG. I know the chicken is the EX, but hypothetically, I could have bought that second hand. If ever I go to sell mine in the future, my EX has been significantly devalued in my opinion...it's now a REG with an extra chicken hand. Would you pay EX prices for a REG that comes with a chicken? Maybe some people would, but how does anyone know that I'm not some scammer trying to pass a REG as an EX? I am pretty bummed out about this...

I guess they could still come back and say they will send me a gold base, but for some reason I'm not optimistic about that.

It does suck. I dont necessarily expect everything to be perfect all the time...$h!t happens...that's life, and I accept that. I do expect them to be able to tell the difference between an EX (gold) and a REG (red/black) base...especially after I emailed and specifically asked about that very issue, and I was assured that I would get an EX replacement.

This piece came out 2weeks ago or so and you already have a replacment chicken and your complaining about that? That seems a bit ridiculous to me. How fast do you want it?

This guy has been on here two months and I've never seen them post without moaning.
I agree there's alot to moan about but not for the sake of it, especially when you have been sorted out.

Now aren't you glad that I noticed the different bases. But it does suck they still sent you the wrong base after you asked them to make sure they sent the gold base.

As for me and I'm sure a few others collectors that know the difference between the two would no doubt try and talk you down. Because even though the ES on bottom matches statue. It's not the gold version, which therefore makes it an incomplete EX.

What I'd do is sell it on eBay as the Ex because it still is that. Take that money and buy another one on eBay. Problem solved....

Don't you still have the EX base tho ? Or they asked you to destroy it ?
If you want to resell it someday, just keep the EX base, tell the guy the problem, he'll at least know it's not a scammed EX.

Well I'd tell them that you either want to keep both bases, or you want the right one. They might just let you keep both instead of trying to replace it, for the third time. Which they can't seem to do anyways because they are out of EX bases.

Ha yes I have complained a lot on here. Only about this statue. I've collected off and on for a few years. Just cause I recently started posting doesn't matter. The fact still remains is that Sideshow ripped off a lot of people with this statue. And that's all there is to it.

Sideshow update : they have contacted me and are replacing my paint damaged Premium Format Deadpool body. But it should have been their first response, not the cleaning kit and telling me that all the ones he looked at were the same or worse.

My current advice: inspect your Sideshow items very carefully immediately upon receipt. If not 100% satisfied, keep at their customer service department to replace it. If they won't, return the item for a full refund. The collectibles are too expensive to settle for "good enough"

I'm not saying SSC isn't ****ing up with the base and that there CS hasn't gone downhill recently but I swear some pics I've seen of people with issues I can't see anything wrong with.

I used a hand axe to break my defect joker head, only took 2 swings. I suggest you try that instead of a hammer.
