they made a HUGE deal about the " trying something new to see how people like it" with Obi-wan. Prety sure we would already know about vader having it too if that was the case .

CA hobbit could always weigh in, provided he/she's allowed to.

That's how we found out about Obi-wan 6+ months in advance.

It IS possible that They decided to go ahead and do it with Vader too, but it that was the case, I Think Malgus would have had it as well.

Personaly, I hope we don't see any more light up sabers. they look, and feel Extremely cheap in person. If you REALLY want one, and don''t already own Obi-wan... go pick the blade up from toy anxiety and see what you think first.

There is a reason Hot toys didn't do one with thier luke, after all.

IF they did Cathode sabers instead of a LED, It MIGHT be worth it, but otherwise, no. they look like butt.

TL;DR

Do it right, or Don't bother. and Sideshow didn't do it right with Obi.
It WAS a cool Expierement, but in the end, it Failed.

Exactly, and I'm glad they realized it. I am glad Yoda isn't coming with it and I'm glad (or hoping I guess) that its left off of Vader. I like light up sabers as an idea, but its got to be better.

yeah I though we were getting an actual full preview, which would have been the full reveal of what we re getting in the box...ill admit im disappointed.
we were teased once already with the hoth pic, seemed unnessary to do it again.

I totally agree one or two teases is good enough then the reveal not this years of telling us its coming and teases every couple of months just to tease us your going to reveal it later

This looks like the same figure they revealed last year along with the snowtrooper. Same wrong face and helmet sculpt.

At least the head is on the neck post this time, it does look better in this shot the suit seems better the mask/helm looks better at least from that angle

Doesn't it have a 23 sets of hands a death star style base 2 stormtroopers and 5 headsculpts......because by this point that would explain the delay

No, the stand is the ENTIRE bridge of the star destroyer, replicated in 1/6th. and the Stand for the stand is the entire Death star. done in 1/18th, but mstly just for show, and it is the size of mt. rushmore. so it achieves the look outside the bridge windows just fine.

and it's not 23 SETS of hands, it's 23 hands. 11 and a half sets.

It also includes a REAL working lightsaber, powered by adgean crystals,

that's what took so long, finding the adgean crystals for the power source. they're exceptionaly rare. Also, finding a way to make theat 1/18th death star fold up and fit inthe box. You see, they had to use Pym particles.

Agreed. I was hoping for a full gallery and prices. As stated we have seen the teases, reveal the prize Ssc!!!

Price shouldn't be far from Malgus's. Malgus was already pushing it.

Waiting to see more pics and details of this figure, and its price, before deciding if I'll get it. I already have way too many Vader items in my collection, and since I can bet this won't be the ultimate 1:6 Vader, not sure if I will buy it. But some pics and price would be good to see.
