I'm hopeful... but the proto of the ANH Vader had about as many issues as the final product. The dome was always off, body too big and cape and tunic of a bad material.

This so far looks a lot better than the ANH one ever did... so hopefully what we see now actually transfers into the final product.

And like you, I'm not buying many new figures so the price increase (while unfortunate) is not going to dissuade me.

I'm fairly confident tailoring is gonna be pretty solid if Bossk Snowtrooper and recent Joes are any indication. It'll come down to what material they go with.

Yeah, I am doing the same thing. But it will be tough on Thursday thats for sure.

Those pics about made me decide to get this as well. I just am done paying that kind of money for 1:6th action figures. So factor those two together and I'll sit it out, but I will be watching just to see how good this one turns out.

My thoughts as well... they've done pretty good lately of matching the proto to the final product. And I hope this is the case on Vader... no room for error on this one

And I'm still not sold on how the body looks. Something about the chest box being too small.

Oh well, this one's not selling out anytime soon, so there's time to give it a bit of thought.

Wonder if their goin to go the deposit route on vader exclusives to stop people from canceling and re ordering when a coupon code comes out? Probally wont do that but theres a first for everything.

no, he WAS trolling. he's done it for eons, in every sideshow star wars thread. we'e used to it. I did something simlar in the medi yoda thread, just to rile him up, just as he did it in here ot rile us up.

it does resemble it a lot. but it looks as if it may hold a crease a bit better...........like it's not quite as spongy.

Anyway, so far it looks good. I like the intense look on Vaders face. Its what I always pictured under the mask, not the wheezing pudgy Anakin at the end of RotJ.
