Not thrilled about the $250 price tag either but Ill have the ANH version to sell and Ill probably sell the new light up base as well so It won't be as bad a sting.

didn't know about kenobi but did about the snowtrooper. its pretty seamless too............i hope you see that correctly GB, should make vader a heck of a lot easier to pose than the clunky boots from the previous one.

Hmm, just saw the price of $250. 
Was really hoping for a top end price of $225.
This is the one exception I'll have to make since Vader is my all-time villain from childhood. I'm buying this purely on sentiment alone.
And this is coming from a guy who usually doesn't dabble in the 1/6th world. That's how important this figure is to me.

He looks great. Love all the light up features but like with the Iron Man figures I'd never turn them on. I will be passing on this as I opted to get the Vader Mythos statue but he's a great looking figure.

I'm only buying a few figures a year anymore and $250 isn't gonna break me so I'm fine with the price. If its too much I just won't buy it, but I'm not gonna come here and cry about it.
Anyway, so far it looks good. I like the intense look on Vaders face. Its what I always pictured under the mask, not the wheezing pudgy Anakin at the end of RotJ.
Hope production is better than ANH Vader. Dont wanna have to replace robe and tunic.

This will be my first sideshow figure in years since Palpatine. Can't wait to get him. $250 is high but Vader is worth it.

I'm hopeful... but the proto of the ANH Vader had about as many issues as the final product. The dome was always off, body too big and cape and tunic of a bad material.
This so far looks a lot better than the ANH one ever did... so hopefully what we see now actually transfers into the final product.
And like you, I'm not buying many new figures so the price increase (while unfortunate) is not going to dissuade me.

They both look hot pressed to me; the one which appears to be stitched doesn't have any actual thread joining the 'holes' up. To me it appears that the pattern of dots has been hot pressed into the grooves in the suit in the first pic, and it's the same but less noticeable in the second.
