Weren't there plans that the reveal mask was going to have the internal details, ala the scene in RotS when the mask is lowered onto Vader's head?

I don't think that's physically possible in 1/6, kinda like how the SDCC Stormies had helmets with internal details but were not wearable

Vaders mask pieces are the same. They are decorations and don't actually form into one mask that can be worn, which is why someone at ssc once mentioned that they wanted to do all those internal details. But they may want to save that perk to give a buying ncentive to an ROTS Vader.

You asked a question. I answered it. Not my problem if you didn't like the answer. It's a box. :dunno

Maybe next time you'd like to provide me with a tick list of pre-approved answers that won't cause angst.

Have you ever watched this video below from Sideshow showing how the packaging is made on their products? Of course not, you don't care.

So they employ at least 3 or 4 people (i assume full time) to design and make these boxes. You see the products they sell are aimed at adult collectors and adult collectors care about the packaging, the art and the presentation. That obviously doesn't mean anything to you since it sounds like you are an adult with the mind of a child who rips open the packaging to get their toy, throws it away and then regrets it 30 years later when they realise how much that carded Kenner figure is worth.

If people didn't care about the packaging then it would be much easier and cheaper to just sell their products in a white shoebox with nothing more than the license, product name and trade mark. That would probably reduce costs by a substantial amount. It probably wouldn't even matter because most of these products are sold online so the packaging doesn't have to standout like in a retail store ... and yet they do it because they know that's what collectors like and want, even if it costs more.

So yes, i'm looking forward to seeing what the new box design style will look like. You go find out how much your fish in China cost.

Hilarious racetrack! I love the packaging too. Not as important to me but I don't want it to look stupid or like a shoe box. He'll I liked the medicom boxes that were just black with the names on them. With the Star Wars sideshow boxes you do get a sense that you have something really special in the box though.

Thanks! I hate being a jerk but i don't know why he needed to be so sarcastic and rude.

The only Medicom i have is the Boba Fett but i thought it looked great packaging wise. Very simple and elegant. Personally my favourite though is the Hot Toys DX packaging. If they do something like that with Vader (and that's what it could look like from the video and pictures) then it will be amazing.

Its been too long for the release... Just saw the teaser video from sideshow its gonna be a big improvement from SS

Yup. Those are my faves. DX Indy, joker, bats, Luke, Sparrow. Amazing packaging for your Collectables.

Not particularly. Bag it, into the roof crawlspace it goes. With the rest of them.

Personal attacks aside, no, I don't regret actually playing with my toys, and I'm old enough to have owned the originals. Boxed droid set was awesome.

Why would I regret this?

Good. Bring on cost savings!

To the rest of you who want to continue taking potshots at me over this. The question was asked what I thought of the box. I just don't care. It's purpose is to protect what is inside. that's it for me. Serves zero useful purpose otherwise.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone. Maybe honesty isn't the best policy. Sheesh.

I don't much care about what the box looks like either. The Vader one looks neat, but I buy my figures to display them and forget about the boxes after I store them away. If they didn't provided graphic art on the boxes and charged less for the figures, I'd be all for it.

I don't think I've ever actually took my time to notice the box once my item is out and displayed. I mean my closet in my attic has a great display of boxes in their shipper sleeve!

hey everyone so i have always collected hot toys and I'm considering getting this because I've always wanted a six scale vader and I'm sure hot toys will be many years from now. so this will be my first sideshow. you guys think this would be a good buy as a first sideshow?

Same shot but a bit more distance to get a look at the whole box.

Excited for this figure. Not to keen on the lightsaber though.
