I dunno i think i like what i'm seeing so far. I don't like the rebelscum pics never have, that background just makes all the flaws of any figure more glaring. The video is more to my liking, and even that had way too harsh lighting. That said still don't think the 250 is justified. (thank god for RP's)

I bet when some REAL pics come in without crappy blue backgrounds or harsh white light, i'll like it even more. (For sure don't really care for the shaw sculpt)

Agree. I like normal natural light pics.

250 is a bit high but i knocked mine down with about $100 in reward points.

Unfortunately this isn't a HotToys release or OMG would have had it in hand in 2011.

Any reason why Sideshow would sculpt the helmet and possibly get it right or wrong rather than scanning an original from Lucasfilm archives?

I think SS's best Vader is ANH. With some MODs its killer. But for $250 the newer Vader should be perfect, I'm still on the fence for the new Vader. Here are a few pics of my ANH MODed Vader.

But again love it in this pick, the dome looks a lot more reminiscent of the esb helm I remember , and it looks like I won't have to fork out for new robes , if I can achieve this look and proportion I will be able to leave this guy as stock, the only mods in my mind now are maybe bulking arms and stuffing the hip joints with cotton wool to stop the pants collapsing there, the one real pain from the Anh version was the limited foot placement from the one piece boots which is also fixed, so I may hunt down a pair for the older figure, actually I might replace the old ones body with this too

So aside from a few blinking LEDs and some gloss black paint nothing has changed? PASS.

The new supes HT figure is like 13 inch which i guess people think looks a bit out of scale in the MOS thread.
Henry cavill was like 6 ft in MOS so at 13 inches the fig does look pretty big.
