I don't give a rats ass about all the tiny little stupid continuity things wrong with it. It looks like a kick butt Darth Vader to me. I'm so glad I'm not a nit picker.

I agree. From the second I saw the first SDCC pic to now I think it's a hell of a Vader figure and like Fett will be the best ESB Vader ever made. Can't wait.

Me too. Im glad Im easily pleased with figures. I mean, they cant look like Hasbro stuff, but these recent SS SW additions and HT are more than acceptable for me.

After finally getting the 1st sideshow Vader im pretty happy with it...I haven't seen enough difference except removable helmet to really be hyped up about...I'm defnitley picking up just hoping his size hasn't changed much ...I love 1st versions size and makes him truly a scary enemy compared to luke and others.....

Exactly.

Vaders helmet blue or chest box on his back or one arm 2x longer than the other = Not Buy.

There is a 1/8" difference in distance between armor plates or paint isn't black enough or boots are wrong design or switch on chest box should be oposite direction = who cares

I still laugh at the unaltered SSC vs. Medicom comparison pics. Dad and ten year old Vader heading out to the game.

I totally love the new ESB/ROTJ Vader though. It's obvious if people have already got a Vader that they will dig through the new version to see if it's worth buying.

But he's also a character, like Fett, that people agonize over the minutest details of. So I can understand people's frustration, and I also think SSC needs to 100% deliver on these characters. I don't think many people mind if Bossk's intricate outfit has a few inaccuracies, but Vader - another story...

What is clear is it's NOT the final figure, so we shouldn't judge too harshly. I'm just really glad to have a shot at an ESB Vader to put a couple of snowies next to!

yep thought about picking up medicom vader until saw his size ...I know thier 2.0 version is bigger but sticking with sideshow vader......

Not bigger... just longer legs. Looks strange.

I have the ANH Vader. All I need is the chest box and gloves and I could basically covert mine to a ESB Vader. No need for a second.

But I'm hoping I'll be more sold when they show the reveal helmet and sculpt. I thought that would happen here at the show.

I'm going to be very picky about another Vader -- besides the first SS offering I also have a Huricane ESB Vader... so having three Vaders doesn't appeal to me.

I saw pics of this statue Vader from SDCC I believe. I think the dome could be lowered a bit but the mask is a major winner.
