They won't do this while Sideshow is still shipping him. Maybe released in 2 to 3 years time - that's about the shortest span between same-class same-character releases between concurrent license holders if you look at some past examples.

It was strange that the first SSC release needed a part from a Hasbro toy to look right, but that the years-later $250-300 DX version also needed that part is truly staggering.

Total speculation on my part, but I think HT will release an ANH version as its first Vader. Personally I'd like that, anyway. A lot of neat details HT could bring to that figure.

Interesting to see whether HT could deliver the elusive "ultimate" Vader 12" doll that would tick the character off lists forever. Ironic that the Marmit Vader (which appears 100% accurate to the costume) would have fulfilled that need ten years ago, but was never released for some strange reason.

Dome is the same on both later Hasbro Vader doll releases (electronic talking 14" and ultimate villain ROTS.)

I just ported mine across to the TT Muscle body, and damn it's so much better, height wise. Thing's a GIANT stock!

Burnt human flesh. But cotton pads (not balls) or gauze is probably going to be easier.

Cool, I noticed earlier but confirmed now that the word filters here on the board have been modified. It's now possible to finally write balls.

That's a great idea actually. It's so incredibly thin that it would allow much more control of the results. It just might take a bit longer to apply and a lot of it.

Not the most ideal solution, but you could clasp the cape hooks together and make a decent ESB look like I did. Side note, I found a SS ANH vader at my LCS for $70! Couldn't pass it up so I came home and put the bodysuit on my other Vader and couldn't be happier with it.
