Back to the SS piece hopefully some amendments are
made prior to shipping. Certainly the eyes and mouth need some work. Hopefully the exclusive is the hat. If they are to do the skeleton hand I would prefer if they went all out and did the skeleton head aswell.

I wouldn't say that. The CMs tailoring looks superior. But both of their portraits are not 100%. That sculptor working with HToys is incredible. Both companies should try and employ him/her.

The Flesh material in the CM sculpt helps it a lot, but if it were done in polystone like the SS sculpt, the flaws would be more obvious.

I've decided to pretty much stick to the non-collectibles sections of the forum or not talk about collectibles anymore. The only opinion anyone wants to hear is how much you love something or that you're going to buy it. Oh well.

This was said by an administrator in the Ask Sideshow forum. The thread was becoming a criticism of Jack Sparrow PF and although I agree with the administrator that it was the wrong place to be discussing that, I resent the fact that if we criticize a piece and we are called haters.....
We do not hate this piece by any means and we are simply giving constructive criticism to the likeness, although almost all of us said we like this piece a lot. I just don't think that is appropriate to use the term "Hater" so loosely just because we are commenting on something.
Anyway, I agree that the thread had to be closed because it started to become something it was not meant for, but please do not compare us to those who don't like anything and complain just about any piece that Sideshow comes up with.

I feel like the only one who thinks that this picture looks like Johnny is either dead, on drugs, hasnt slept in days, is dying, got punched in both eyes. i mean its just looks weird

I have a question since I'm fairly new to the PF collecting. What are the odds of SS actually making any adjustments to this PF (mouth, eyes, etc) before it ships?

There is a chance they could change something but more than likely they won't alter the sculpt at all. If they changed anything it would be little stuff not something as major as the face.

I doubt they'll change anything. They have made tweaks in the past, most notably the Count Dooku PF. However I think that was originally put up for order with a "Prototype pending approval" so if this doesn't have that I doubt it will happen.
The eyes really seem to be the only thing I personally feel needs to be changed, they just need to squint a bit more. I really think that its the hair throwing the sculpt off.
