Got him today!!, this figure is awesome, I didn't like vest rig he came with so I swap it out for an extra vest I had, I also prefer the visor head sculpt, it looks more like snake eyes.

:lol

Give me the rig! I'll buy it off ya. For a decent price of course.

Why no fabric mask on this guy, that black molded plastic looks like crap, the first one was better in that reguard. I'm passing on this for now, not really worth the cash there asking for it. Its cool but not wowing me at all. Sorry, not trying to rain on anybodys parade as the gijoe line is awesome and I have about 70 percent of all that came out, I'm just not digging this figure:(

As much as I don't want to, there's enough side stuff that I would like to have from this release that purchasing the full figure may not be a bad investment.

Once you start adding Timber, a couple of the guns, and some boots you're half way to the cost of the figure. Might as well just buy it. :lol

Yep, even though most of his "plastic" gear are re-issues (the Uzi, obviously, plus the daito, TMP, Beachhead bootknife, etc.).

The short-barreled XCR with the undermounted looks weird to me, since the genade launcher barrel extends past the XCR barrel, but it still looks cool.

I prefer the fabric mask of the first SIdeshow offering as well, but SIdeshow produced a sculpted plastic head for continuity with Storm Shadow, Beachhead, Firefly, the various Ninjas, the various Troopers/Officers/Snipers, etc.

A few pics of my tweaked Snake Eyes.

I think its a solid figure once the stock sweater is ditched. A better figure than the first one. I do like the previous Joe pants to the new arm pit huggers.

Added the Saves sweater. Stalker pouches and holster. Hawk knife. Will prolly put the dual pouches on the leg like the orignial figure to give him a bit more faithfulness. I think he goes pretty good with the greenshirts. For now I dig it.

The 85 head. I like it, but I think I like the cloth head on the first figure more.

I always dig your card art poses EF, they look awesome:clap I kinda want a new snake eyes as I never opened the first one, this would be the time to get one, however not loving the figure. I would pick it up for like 140ish but not 200 bucks, its just not worth that much imo.

Congrats to those who are getting this though, it is a nice figure and from the looks of the customizing here can look great. Maybe sometime next year if I find a deal and have the extra doe.

I'm definitely not in the traditionalist camp, but these two pics are full of so much win. :clap

Those pants do look bad, especially with those knee pads.

And the black commando sweater is a no-brainer. He should have come with one.

So what bash CAN the stock sweater be used on? You can see I'm trying to justify the purchase by thinking of places to use all the excess bits.

Great looking Commando Snake Eyes E, fits in great with your greenshirts.

Thanks for the pictures everyone, unfortunately I had to pass on this one but I'm working on my own version of Commando SE.

Great pics EF, both SE's figs look awesome with your mods. I'm glad I have an extra "Saves" sweater as well, and will be borrowing your recipe.

I know it gets pretty expensive upgrading parts, on a already expensive figure, but those pants have to go.

I think a pair of TC or SS Crye Gen 3 black pants would look pretty good, or SS CIA S.A.D v.1 pants.

Great shots EF.

I never really got into GI Joe until 85' and a lot of the Commando SE mystique is lost on me.

But I totally dig your recreation of it.

And an okay sculpted visor version too.
