Sure he is.

New body
New shirt
New North Face fleece
New Commando sculpt
New Visor sculpt
New pants
New pet

It'd be nice if he had some unique weapons but there's much less "rehash" here than people are suggesting.

I'd like to see someone proficient with photoshop take the head from the first pic and paste it onto the second. I have a feeling that will create the closest reflection of 1982 SE possible.

:nono What have you done with Khev, Josh? :tap

Oh, no doubt... I'm just kind of talking in general terms with the overall quality of paint from SS as a whole and I think that's why current non-Joe collectors like GB and I are posting in this thread right now.

SS 1/6th figures have been pretty damn affordable up to the last 6-8 months when they've suddenly crept up to the 150 then 175 and now 200 dollar threshold. This puts them in line with HT in regards to price, roughly, yet their quality isn't keeping up with the pace of the price. It also makes me wonder when HT will bump their prices yet again. To me it means that I'll be even more selective with what I do and don't buy.:lecture

I'll never understand that mindset. "Hey, let's price our customers out of collecting our other lines by jacking up the prices!" :cuckoo:

Irony is, then they have the nerve to turn around and _____ that some lines lack the popularity they used to have, blame collectors who aren't even really getting cost of living increases - if they're even luckily employed in this ____ing economy, and cancel said lines. :monkey1 :lol

He just sees what I see I guess. A figure that is worth the price overall when you look at everything. This figure without Timber would be right about where Zartan is at I do believe. For me I'm buying it for Snake Eyes not Timber.

New body - It appears to be a copy of the HT TTM-19, less arm articulation
New shirt- The original was just as good
New North Face fleece- looks too big on him. Black Beachhead one would of look alot better
New Commando sculpt - pin head
New Visor sculpt - Ill give you that one, but it was intenteded to replace v1 SE. Yes they stated that on an interview.
New pants - with lucha libre kneepads. V1 were better
New pet- meh, not bad. Not great either

Yeah, it's troubling... In my eyes EVERYTHING has become more expensive, especially here in California. Luxuries, and this hobby is nothing more than a luxury, get trimmed first. Combine the increase in COL with rising prices of our hobby and it has me thinking twice about how much further I want to go with it.

Honestly guys, I don't see what you're seeing. This, underwhelmingly, looks like a kitbash using Dragon parts with the Hasbro head:

We've already seen better V1 kitbashes of this guy, and when even the kids here are kitbhashing better looking versions than the official high-end release, warning bells should be sounding. :(

I don't know what to tell ya then. I like how he looks right there and overall. I will have no issues ordering it on Thursday and knowing I have another awesome SE coming into the collection. If others feel differently about this figure or SS overall that's their business.

The commando head looks too big at the top, like an alien and the eyes are too small and too close together. Hope they fix that because after a body swap, my v1 SE is awesome.

I hate to say it, but I'm not sold on this one as of now.

The color of the heads do not match well with the color of the uniform. They just look out of place together. In addition, the Commando/Goggle head is too small.

The uniform just looks so bland and almost like doll clothing rather than that of a Military figure, if this makes any sense. Maybe it's the fact that it's black? The Firefly, Duke, Stalker and Beach Head didn't have this look to me.

I want to like this figure..but at that price, it should blow me away.

If the goggles are removable it would help somewhat.

So Flosi is Alex P. Keaton now.

GrandNAM thinks it's half-assed and overpriced.

And Josh loves everything.

Me, I couldn't agree more with all three of you.

I can't believe that some people are complaining of re-hashed parts. All the Joes have featured re-hashed kit of some sort.
Looking at the figure I think it's getting an overly harsh response, yes, it's not perfect but I think it's salvageable. Sideshow just needs to listen to some constructive feedback on this prototype.

Wow, could it have been worse??! :slap
Im out of this line altogether then.

so you shouldn't have a problem paying 199.99 for Destro, with beefier body, using parts from previous releases

Man! It is really kind of heartbreaking to see the dissatisfaction with this figure.

I am going to sit back and hope it grows on everyone like Firefly did.

pretty much the same complaints as everyone else. thank god and sonny jesus this thing isn't cool enough to buy. snake eyes and sideshow just bought my truck new shocks.
