I haven't seen any more than what has been usual lately. 2-3 on a good week.

The majority of what are listed now are the new ones.

I have been meaning to mention that I am really glad they included the pads for the shoulder straps on this new Snake Eyes. After seeing the kitbash that (iirc) Shadow_Wolf did, I really liked the way those pads looked under the straps.

Summary: Price too high, easily bashed, head too small, sweater too large, goggles too small, visor too large, meh, yada yada... I still have 3 on order, 1 exclusive and 2 regs because this is Ebay gold, easily 100% return in a year or so after it's sold out. I promise that this figure will look much more appealing after it's sold out.:chase

LOL...you may be in for some disappointment. This figure doesn't seem to be that popular. Seems to me that the figure is going to do more to drive the value of the first release up than to gainvalue of it's own.

But who knows? Maybe this will be another Firefly.

i like the set especially the new visor head do not touch that head sideshow but the v1 head can use work make the goggles bigger, and a face plate like the statue. and at least a short neck adapter added in for the giraffee look.

The extra Firefly head was just a duplicate accessory with a minor paint upgrade in the grand scheme of things. I just don't see them totally resculpting a new head/goggle setup for SE. They obviously thought it looked cool enough to put up for order so I think that's that.

3 Snake Eyes 1/6 scale figures on order from Sideshow. 2 regulars. 1 exclusive. All bound for ebaY flipping. Not knowing your target audience.... priceless!

I just want to ask, why are people giving up on this figure already? I don't really have any Sideshow figures, except for Yoda, so I don't know if they tend to improve and listen to the complaints regarding their products.

So saying this, shouldn't people wait until it is finally released to start treating the figure like they are right now?

I haven't given up. The commando head leaves a lot to be desired but the new visored look with long sleeve undershirt is my favorite 12 inch Joe to date.

That's how I intend to display my SE. Was never a huge fan of the commando since it's original 82 release was just before my time. I still hope the goggle portrait can be reworked for the sake of having it as accurate as possible. As it is now it really does throw off the proportion of the head.

So what if it takes a few more weeks to sell out (BTW keeping Exclusive for me) You think snake eyes will be collecting dust for months like the desert troopers are now? Don't kid yourself a bit, you know as well as I do that these will all be gone by Xmas. And Knowing is half the Battle! (couldn't help myself, sorry!)

Only issue with this is that you have to list it at an insane price to begin with in order to get your money back.

Don't think there are too many peeps out there who would be willing dish out at least $200 for a 1:6 down the road either. Well I know I wouldn't.

You're right. I'm clueless when it comes to the Joe market. :lol

The days of buying doubles and triples to flip are over. And Sideshow ain't HT, so praying for Hot Toys appreciation even for Hot Toys, is over. So given that, let's talk about SE. The first one was limited to 4500, was the first figure to launch the actual line, and was almost half the ____ing price and had way better gear. The only glaring issue it had was the Prometheus and the general public was largely naive to just how bad it looked until it'd shipped.

This one will likely have at the very least a 25% bigger ES. The grievous issues with this piece also make it laughable, an almost worthless Commando head which is the key selling point for this figure, a poorly sculpted wolf that looks like Mattel made it and a yawning head as an Ex that doesn't look the least bit intimidating. This is the general consensus among high-end collectors across the forums - THE target audience. The mainstream Joe collectors despise anything not made by Hasbro, and doubly so anything not made by Hasbro and bigger than 1:18. This doesn't even account for the recession.

My prediction is your EX may retain it's initial value (assuming of course it really sells out and not a fake sell out) but won't go higher. And the only way you'll fetch even close to your initial $199.99 investment for the regulars is by parting them out. And then, it's doubtful, but maybe.

If it were a vote, you guys would be right. The odds are apparently against me making my money back on SE. Have a look at my collection, all paid for by buying and selling. I had an initial investment of $1500 when I started collecting Joe's (again) and had a total sales volume of $22k within 6 months. I knew that there'd be no shortage of doubters when I posted my original message. The underlying message here is, no risk, no reward and SE is about as safe a bet as they come.

Just on retail MSRP alone (assuming that's how you bought most of the carded 25th 1:18 RAHs), you've already lost money. WalMart and Target were clearancing out all the 25th anny stuff and most LCSs are having a hard time moving them still.
