Exactly, and both cost the same now. And the new one has a few more 'extras'. So if you got the first one, I understand not wanting to upgrade, but those who don't have it, it is pretty good. And the fact that this is SOLD OUT in BBTS, shows that it is still an appealing figure.

Point being the major selling point for this one isn't the accessories to upgrade your old one. And if you can't understand that, well, it says leaps and bounds about ya.

Who is talking about upgrading the old one? Seems you are the one that does not understand. And beleieve me, most posts I have read from you have already spoken of what kind of person you are. Maybe those who have it, like you I guess as you keep praising the older figure, have no interest in this.
I'm talking for the new collectors in this line, this is a great figure. If I were to choose between the old one selling at $200, which at one point I almost did until someone in this same forums recommended waiting for the new version which he assured was coming, and the new figure at the same price, I think it is obvious which it is most people will choose. And this based on the fact that again, it is sold out in BBTS.

I guess the 1st one was better priced than the new version.. If they will reissue the 1st one with an articulated wolf and priced it @ $200.00, I would get it.. But for this new version.. I'm having second thoughts(the HS and the long sleeves is a deal breaker).. and worst.. I might end up buying loose parts(Black Pants, Bag, harness/pouches and guns).. and bash it on a TTM15 body with laced black danners, black cloth gloves and Black long sleeves shirt.. the head would be the tricky part though..

Fact that it sold out on BBTS means nothing, did it sell out at SS?
People are obviously deferring to BBTS to save some bucks on a new overpriced figure for a V2

I separated myself from this line after SSC just went off on too many modern reimaginings.
This new SE not only prompted me to order, but to also reserve the Black Dragon Ninja and Crimson Guard. I *needed* a great flagship SE to justify cherry picking other well done figures and now that finally is a reality.
So one less person "jumping ship" and furthering the so-called collapse of this line. Quite the opposite.

But to you, SW > GI Joe so that means NADA!
Tell that to Rex, CW Anakin, and my Battle Droids. Soon the only SW figure I'll own will be SSC's ESB Yoda (until Fett and HT Luke arrive anyway.)
But otherwise you're right, Classic SW does indeed trump reimagined Joes.
