I've got a few extra's on order and am hoping that SS comes through and has fixed the key issues that were the source of the complaints with what should have been a homerun figure out of the gates. I never would have dreamed that such a huge edition size would have been granted for SE v2 or I never would have PO'd a few extra's, but since I have already put up a deposit and used my rewards on the order, the best that I can hope for is to recoup my money the old fasioned way and part these guys out.

I'll take first come (PM me) first serve and ship out as soon as I get my orders, assuming there's enough interest which I'm pretty sure there will be for all of you guys just wanting to update your V1's. Contact me for prices.

IMHO, given he'll clearly be available through Sideshow when released, unless you're selling him for way below retail, you'd be better off parting them out.

Anyone got the feeling that this might actually turn out better than what's presented on their website?

Meh... I'd LIKE to believe that, but that's usually not the case. Mind you, I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of headsculpts... or more specifically, paint apps. I guess that's not a factor here but if it's almost ready to ship, you'd think they'd have the finalized product by now. Unless some very specific things get changed I don't know...

and there is nothing wrong with your 1st snake eyes either

Yeah, I think I prefer it quite a bit, actually. Doesn't help that it's the '85 version, which is the "definitive" look for me.

I sold the first scrawny SE with the oversized visor since I don't need two Snake Eyes figures either.

Ninjas don't need to be brawny, nor do soldiers for that matter. As for the visor... :dunno It seems to match the '85 design pretty well. I can't say the same for this/'82.

Yeah, I'm just hoping. I feels ya.

Ever since they chromed out the viper face plate and prevented the crimson guard from looking Michael Jackson in thriller; they've got me wondering.

No.

Just kidding. It might look fine. I just personally don't like much about it really and I'm not saying that because of the price. I just don't like the goggled head sculpt nor the sweater nor the rehashed gloves, the boots nor the messenger bag.

The weapons and Timber are about the only things I like about it and even the weapons look rehashed.

Who cares what your average run of the mill ninja looks like? This is Snake Eyes, and Snake Eyes is buff.

And the visor on this SE matches the 85 version a heck of a lot better than the giant thing that came with Sideshow's first release. And this new figure comes with Timber. That alone defines this as the definitive "1985" variant. People never called the original figure "Snake Eyes w/Sword" or "Snake Eyes w/visor." No, they called him "Snake Eyes with WOLF." This one comes with a wolf. New Snakes for the win. :)

Except for Timber the gear is all stuff (or better stuff) any kit basher could have sourced 2 years ago.

IMO there's just nothing proprietary with this release to make it special except for Timber. I look forward to buying Timber for $25 at TA.

Cancelling mine. I'll wait for in hand pics from EVILFACE, to see if there's any parts I wanna pick up later. Not gonna drop the $200 for the full figure.
