Hmmmm. So that means my local dealer was right about this being released soon, huh.
my dealer has never heard of sideshow

I've got a few extra's on order and am hoping that SS comes through and has fixed the key issues that were the source of the complaints with what should have been a homerun figure out of the gates. I never would have dreamed that such a huge edition size would have been granted for SE v2 or I never would have PO'd a few extra's, but since I have already put up a deposit and used my rewards on the order, the best that I can hope for is to recoup my money the old fasioned way and part these guys out.
I'll take first come (PM me) first serve and ship out as soon as I get my orders, assuming there's enough interest which I'm pretty sure there will be for all of you guys just wanting to update your V1's. Contact me for prices.
IMHO, given he'll clearly be available through Sideshow when released, unless you're selling him for way below retail, you'd be better off parting them out.
Actually, you might. They're clap-free.
Same conclusion here, I have a feeling that he's going to be 'In Stock' indefinately, even if he gets fixed.
Well, I cancelled.
In the end, I don't need two Snake Eyes figures.
i cant wait for snake eyes to come
Anyone got the feeling that this might actually turn out better than what's presented on their website?
and there is nothing wrong with your 1st snake eyes either
I sold the first scrawny SE with the oversized visor since I don't need two Snake Eyes figures either.
Meh... I'd LIKE to believe that, but that's usually not the case. Mind you, I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of headsculpts... or more specifically, paint apps. I guess that's not a factor here but if it's almost ready to ship, you'd think they'd have the finalized product by now. Unless some very specific things get changed I don't know...

Ninjas don't need to be brawny, nor do soldiers for that matter. As for the visor... It seems to match the '85 design pretty well. I can't say the same for this/'82.
Who cares what your average run of the mill ninja looks like? This is Snake Eyes, and Snake Eyes is buff.
And the visor on this SE matches the 85 version a heck of a lot better than the giant thing that came with Sideshow's first release. And this new figure comes with Timber. That alone defines this as the definitive "1985" variant. People never called the original figure "Snake Eyes w/Sword" or "Snake Eyes w/visor." No, they called him "Snake Eyes with WOLF." This one comes with a wolf. New Snakes for the win.
