Sideshow Snake Eyes and Timber 1/6th Figure Set

Except for Timber the gear is all stuff (or better stuff) any kit basher could have sourced 2 years ago.

I haven't seen one single customizer ever come up with a better visor than the one included in SSC's new release.

"Oh well I'm just going to buy Timber and the visor then." Fine, but that doesn't change the fact that this is the best officially licensed release of Snake Eyes ever made.

Who cares what your average run of the mill ninja looks like? This is Snake Eyes, and Snake Eyes is buff.

And the visor on this SE matches the 85 version a heck of a lot better than the giant thing that came with Sideshow's first release. And this new figure comes with Timber. That alone defines this as the definitive "1985" variant. People never called the original figure "Snake Eyes w/Sword" or "Snake Eyes w/visor." No, they called him "Snake Eyes with WOLF." This one comes with a wolf. New Snakes for the win.

I remember Commando Snake Eyes and Ninja Snake Eyes. I don't remember any of that BS you just made up.

There was no "Ninja" Snake Eyes. There was Commando SE v1 and Commando SE v2. Version 2 came with a wolf.

But I can promise you all...you won't see ninja swords or pathetic wolves being displayed with mine.

I'm actually eager to get this set. I'm going to be looking for an extra Timber in fact so I can display both sculpts with both SE's. I also might use the new visor sculpt and pop it on the V1. But then SE is my favorite Joe so I might be in the minority. I'm also going to try score as many of the body he's on.

Not sure how appealing that's gonna be. If Sideshow goes with a flesh tone, expect it to be stained up the wazoo from the shirts.

Best that SSC has released so far and worth my money are two completely different things....

yeah, I did take that into account and I'm hoping that since he's wearing a fabric sweater and not spandex, that it won't stain like the V1 did.

and your opinion that this is the best officially licensed release of Snake Eyes ever made. Its just that, your opinion, its not a fact. The only saving grace on this figure is that it comes with Timber, and not a very good one, and the extra visor head for SE v1. Other than that, the figure by itself is not that good. i personally think this SE kinda sucks actually. And the fact that the EX is still on the site, it appears Im not the only one.

Yeah, it is coming back to me now. They sent a copy of it to AFA and they confirmed it.

I know this is a proto but notice the tiny bit of flesh exposed on the edge of his sleeve in the above pic
