Congrats! I have 2 boys (5 & 3 yrs old). They are the best thing that ever happened in my life. Good luck and I hope everything goes smoothly for you and your wife.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Thanks filip. I have a feeling were going to have another boy being a Dad is the best thing :)

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Thanks Spidey. Wolverine, I managed to get the Ex to. Really important one for me as Wolverine is my favourite Marvel character :)

I was looking at Mambas pictures in his show your shelves thread. I didn't realise how short Wolverine is compared to his other PF's. Not that that ruins anything for me.

Been a good month so far though. Wolverine, Thor to look forward to at the end of the month & the best news was when my wife told me on Sunday that were going to be having another child :yess:

Congrats. We got our first child (daughter) 5 months ago. We want more already. It really is amazing.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Congrats, RB. You should have led with that, not Wolverine. :wink1:

Congrats Snad. Yeah I would love to have 5 if money wasn't an issue. My brother-in-law has 5 but he's never got any money even though he's got a well payed job. I remember going to the cinema with him & 4 of his kids. Just things like that is really expensive for him.

Congrats, RB. You should have led with that, not Wolverine. :wink1:

Ha you are actually 100% right there

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Okay... So I made the mistake of going back to watch some of the old review videos... Yeah ... Damn I would love to have this, just don't have the funds right now. Oh by the way I do get it now, or as much as I can, this looks AMAZINGLY GOOD.. Sorry for the disbelief before, I am just a newb.

I just had 2 friends I work with stop by my house for the 1st time. Of course I gave them a tour of the house. They both knew I collected statues so they were actually blown away when I showed them my displays. We spent a good half hour just looking at and talking about all of my statues. That all said, both of them just drooled over Spidey. They both said that it was their favorite piece. Both mentioned how big he was and how amazing the base looks. I complimented them on their good taste. How could I disagree with them? Seeing the Spidey Com in person is the only way to go. Pics and videos don't capture all the magnimagnificence of the Spidey Com. I feel the same way about the Skaar PF. Seeing is believing.

LOL! I usually don't need my buds telling me I look good. Now, if they were women....

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

The last piece I really want & then it will just be up coming pieces which will be nice.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

I like how so many in this thread want this piece but are not willing to pay just under or just over $1k for this... wtf are you guys waiting for? For the price to go down? Good luck. Boggles my mind when people are paying $3k for doom PF and can't pay $900 for this "final piece" in their collection. Then they whine about how they'll never have it because they don't have the funds now. Stop buying the other statues of non-A listers!

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Hey I ain't paying $3k for doom and $900 is alot of cash when you have other priorities like a family. No need to be harsh on us. I don't expect it to go down. Maybe one day I'll own it but not right now.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Supporting your family is the right reason to not buy a statue, saying you can't afford a statue then buy like 8 different recent releases and don't buy this statue because you couldn't buy it at retail cost for "Principle" and then openly complain about its cost that's who I have problems with. I started out late just like most of you and I definitely paid a hefty price for the big dogs like Hulk PF, Cap PF, Doom EX, but I made those my goals to get out of the way first to start my collection.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Fair enough that makes sense AJ. I only order maybe one to possible to pieces a year. I know I could just order this and not the new ones but then I worry the new piece I miss out in could possibly go up in price and when I go to look for it a couple of years down the road it's this kind of price. Also I am currently looking for a Captain America PF. That would be the one old piece I would jump at for a decent price. Then probably this one and the Thor pF. Those are the 3 old ones I am interested in.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Come the end of next month I would of payed up $2500 in a 3 month period & the Spider-Man Com will cost me more than $900 living in the UK & like Beast said some of us have got families to support. I would of had a Spider-Man Com easy otherwise & that's without mentioning the PO's most of us need to pay up as well.
