Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Haha for sure man. They do look amazing displayed altogether thats for certain. Im thinking about trying to tackle a PAX project next for the display so i can give the three of these guys the room they need to shine in addition to some of our upcoming larger sculpt pre orders like hulk and apocalypse

No doubt. These pieces need room to breath to be effective. These collections that have them shoehorned on one tiny shelf looks cruddy IMO.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Yeah the space and good lighting can take a collection room from good to great. There was some activity in a display thread recently and one of the members pulled a build out from an older thread with step by step instructions. Im not much of a handy man but i think im going to give it a go
.. seems essential for the larger pieces and i have a couple of those coming

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

I sold this awhile back and have regreted it ever since.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Congrats Tavegg! This is definitely one of my favorite pieces from SS.

Re: Sideshow Spider-Man Comiquette

Thanks B. I happened to run into them all at once which worked out to be super convenient because I just unloaded a large portion of my Bowen collection. Basically I was able to convert my previously owned Bowen sculpts to all the newly acquired SS pieces. Sadly the newly acquired pieces were not the result of me winning the lotto

Damn that lotto is elusive.

#231 of the EX is in the house, finally! After a while looking for this guy and considering whether or not to blow such an amount of money on him, he's finally arrived to the ice-cold lands of Norway, the country best known for hosting the Hoth battle scenes. :lol Naah just kidding, it's actually summer here! :lecture

I have rated this amongst my very favourites, if not THE favourite piece I have seen. The pose, the sculpt, the size, the base, the details..it's just amazing, which is really proven in his value and reputation despite the minor paint flaws this piece usually have. Mine isn't perfect either, a bit sloppy paint on the bottom of his left eye but the black lines are overall better than I expected although not perfect of course. And having seen this with my very own eyes for the first time, it's really a BEAST and well worth all the praise it's received.

I am no photographer and I have terrible lighting for photographs inside so had to use flash on some pictures (yeah, it really is a sin). But even though they don't really do him any justice, here's a few pics of Spidey in his new home before moving into his new Besta cell. I'm in love. :1-1:
