So so far we've had a missing piece to grey box, the missing grey box itself, and no boots? I'm thinking these troopers were rushed into battle.

Man I can't stand stuff like this. I often buy stuff but don't even open it because I don't have a place to display it yet, but will one day. This is why I asked about the HT stromtrooper two pack, my EX converted and its here but I just put it in the closet. Suppose I should check. Having said this, no way I would noticed the black piece missing. Just don't pay enough attention to these things I guess. That's why I come here ;)

I hope you've read enough now that you won't keep dong that. Always open everything and inspect it well as soon as you get it. Then just pack it back up until you're ready to display. There's no need to take each little thing out of its plastic tray, but the figure should come out so you can look at it all-over, make sure the legs line up, etc.

I don't understand...aren't Scouties also clones? And weren't those clones lefthanded?

No. Clones were phased out after the Clone Wars. The brave soldiers of the Galactic Empire were drawn from citizens across the galaxy, some willingly joined and recruited, others forcefully conscripted. They're just humans fighting for what they believe in. Or against their will. Perspective.

Not directed entirely at you Mike86 but I'm sick of people complaining about the holster being on the wrong foot!
My mistake I didn't double check screen shots but went off the review that showed the costume book with the holster on the other side.

A 65-70 year-old clone probably couldn't do this.

I'm really liking this combination. It saves me money on the Sideshow version. The only thing I'm looking forward to doing with the bike is creating some sort of single post base...to give it a more polished look.

Looks like he found a child's toy blaster to use. I tried the Hasbro blaster which is better to scale, but the hand doesn't hold it well.
Somebody should mod and cast up proper sized blasters, the stock version must be a joke right? :slap

I took the box back to UPS to see what return shipping would be based on insuring for $200 to the business address and I was quoted $.50 less that what it cost to ship to me. Not much of a discrepancy, but still different.

Mine came in today. The left knee pad elastic had come unglued and the knee pad was loose in the box. The grey canisters on the back piece had also come unglued and were loose in the box. A little crazy glue and all is back together.

Once set up, this guy is freaking awesome. One of my favorites so far. I am more impressed with this than my HTs Stormies 2-pack. For some reason, I think the HTs Stormies look feminine. I love the base with Scout too. I think I will be getting a second Scout for the bike which should ship mid-month.

I got this guy today, really impressed with it. The only thing that blows is the body. So I did some dremel work on the biceps and sides of the torso. I sanded them down so I could get his arms to hang naturally. I have some slim knockoffs enroute, so I may switch it over to one of those to see what it looks like. Until then, I am pretty happy with this guy. I may have to grab a second one. :)

A group shot of the OT troopers....SSC Snowtrooper, Biker Scout and Hot Toys Stormtrooper. :yess:

Started body swap surgery, need to get longer foot pegs but very happy with the results. The sideshow body is a steaming pile. The swap makes this trooper look like "man in suit". I used HT storm trooper body and left all the padding on. Gives it a better fill out of the body suit as well. starting on #2 now.

Well, after a bumpy start (with mutterings about returning it,) I've made my peace with this figure. I love the sniper rifle, so I went with the ROTJ concept pose, and do think the SSC helmet looks a lot like the Nilo Rodis concept sketch helmet. It sort of captures the concept Biker pretty well.

However, for the record:

The helmet is all kinds of inaccurate - off in many different ways
The blaster is at least 20% too small - almost like an oversized 6" Black Series weapon.
The knee armor is way too angular and very off
The codpiece is less than half the size it should be (less diaper, more ladies' underwear)
The arm armor is 20% too small
The boots are too heavily weathered, even if it looks realistic
The body is very awkward and unnatural, with arms unable to come down next to it

All that said, it is a pretty cool figure.:slap:lol
