Body swapped scout :)

My first body swap and it was very easy to do. Only thing I might wish for is to get longer foot and hand pegs, he has lost a bit of height. But I don't even know where to find those. :)

I know this is not the props and helmet section but RS Prop Masters just showed some Scout goodies too on their FB page:

"Delayed, but very much now on the go. Expect to see more of these in the coming days."

looks good and in the OT, all the troopers were slightly different heights, so looks good - rub some dirt on your super white pouches, and you got yourself a killer figure

Yeah it doesn't bother me, but if I do this swap on my second scout I would like him to be taller. Dirt on the pouches is the next step.

Hi what body did you swap it to?

A TrueType Slim body, TTM-22.

Looking at a fullsize prop, you can see how Sideshow botched the mouthpiece, making it noticeably too long. Why they can't get basic details right is beyond me.

Thanks, how did you get the boots on the hot toys body? I've got a hot toys stormtrooper body to switch my scout to but I'm not sure how to connect the boots?

I used a plier to pull out the foot pegs and then I replaced them with the foot pegs from the new body.

I'm still doing some mental gymnastics trying to come up with a place to display this guy. Does anyone have any photos of a Hasbro speeder suspended from above? Ceiling or wall mounted for example.

Yeah, I may try to cut it down a bit at some stage. The two main issues are the vertically elongated "cheeks/mouth," and the head overall needs to be widened (ie helmet heated and a spacer forced in between the "ears.")

Those two things would fix most of the problem.

I think that's where the HT Scout will succeed at. It'll look more accurate, I guarantee it.

They don't care. They know suckers like us will buy it anyway ;)

That's why I'm only getting just 1 Scout from SSC. Don't think HT Scout will be perfect, but will be a bit better nevertheless, like it happened to the Stormies

I thought it was only me who felt so.

No one thinks the helmet is accurate - everyone has known since this was previewed at SDCC the helmet is all kinds of wrong. Almost everyone however, loves the figure in spite of that, which is the same reason I ordered. The whole is better than the individual parts.

Exactly. Inaccurate or not, it looks really good.

:exactly: It's the best 1/6 Scout available right now. If HT makes a better one years from now I'll get that one too. Not willing to wait for that to happen. :nono

This has been discussed already. The figure is way inaccurate. And still it looks very cool. :wink1:

Snagged the lowest priced speeder I could find on eBay and the accompanying Luke figure will go to my daughter and keep her Barbies safe until it can be passed on to my son in a year or two.

The scout will hang with the speeder from the ceiling up against a wall above the door to my office - it's literally the last place I can put it in this room where it won't block anything else.
