E2Dwhy - Great job on the pix!!

Hey, did I spot a four-leafed clover in that first shot?

need some advice

I just got mine and has a few issues
the right hand fell cause its missing the wrist peg, but I will remove from the pointing hand since I wont be using it.
The rear thermal detonator is missing one clip and wont attach well on the belt
and the helmet is slightly loose from inside the helmet and not the neck joint.

I bought the Scout Trooper from a Ebay dealer who sell new HT and Sideshow items. I got a Jango Fett from the seller with no issues, well some issues but those are design flaws by Sideshow.

Its not the sellers fault but clearly a quality issue directly from Sideshow.
The problem is since I didn't buy the figure directly from Sideshow, would Sideshow still help?

All I need is the missing clip, I can glue that piece myself, but the helmet is loose, would like that repaired. let me know what you guys think I should do

If you contact sideshow they will likely help. All the helmets are loose so they probably won't help with that.

What I did with the thermal detonator is to add a bit of velcro on it and on the belt and attach it that way - will not fall so easily. Thus even if you miss one clip, it will stay on the belt. But SSC might help anyway

So, I received this figure yesterday and at first I was so underwhelmed that I hated it. o_O

After some futzing and posing, I feel a bit better with it but somehow it makes me dislike my Snowtrooper. ^^ Well, let's say I find they don't display well together. As if they were not the same scale or from the same line, I don't know. The white color and the plastic of the armours, the build of the bodies, they don't match.

Anyway, here are a couple of pics:

I still hate the cricket gun. So small!

Very nice shots. I still prefer the snowtrooper to this guy but I agree they don't seem to be quite in scale. The helmet on the scout is too large or the snowtrooper too small. I felt the same with the HT Stormtrooper. Didn't seem to be quite in scale with the snowtrooper.

I remember being immediately impressed with the snowtrooper and not being able to put him in a bad pose but the Scout is a little more frustrating and takes more work. I have him on the speeder now and there he will probably stay.

The scouts and bike are some of my favorite pieces in the collection. They are so iconic and have such presence, it's hard not to love them.

I'm thinking about cancelling my order for this guy. I keep hearing underwhelming reviews about it. Plus being a UK collector I could only order it with SS as all my local resellers have sold out & the shipping alone is going to be over $100 with the bike & then there's the 20% import tax on top. It's going to be a really expensive set to buy for me

Might not be worth it. I have never seen the bike but IMHO, the figure looks toyish and plastic-y. Can't say it's really life-like.

I'm not saying it's not a good action figure (it is) but it does look like a figure, far from a "museum" piece. Some will like it, others won't. It depends on what you are looking for and at what cost. I don't mind having toys but I don't like paying that much for them.

It looks like a man in a suit even on the stock body - saying this is like a toy (Hasbro for example) couldn't be farther from the truth. People should get out and see what the state of toys are like today, especially for SW, then maybe a better appreciation will be had for spending up to $250 on a 1/6 scale figure.

At $189 or $169 with a $20 coupon code, this one was a relative "bargain."* * and that's factoring in the ridiculous knee pads and incorrect sculpt elements on the helmet.
