Great review! Makes me more excited to receive mine!

Cheers, thanks for watching! Overall I think it's a great figure. I just wish they improved the underlying body to be as solid as the Hot Toys Truetype. But in terms of the armour and tailoring, it's pretty awesome. Can't wait to get the bike next week! :)

Geezus, it's that tight is it?!? I might not bloody bother then lol!!! I was wondering if there were any tricky bits, and figured the chest armour and maybe the groin cloth part might've been tricky. Thanks again for the tips!

You're welcome. Franckly, you're not taking any risk stripping him down. I was amazed at how many layers this Scout was treated with. Very detailed indeed even if it means troubles posing the figure.

I just realised I said in the review the weathering on the boots look great like they've been traipsing through the desert!! DUH!!!! That should've been forest dammit! LOL!! Brain fade there :)

YAY, he shipped today and is due for delivery Wed and hopefully Widow ships tomorrow for Thursday arrival!

Great video review, he holds up well with both HT and the older SS Troopers. I really dig the new Hoth and Endor bases, their fantastic. Keep that up,SS...

My scouts on a good solid body.

He doesn't grip onto the Hasbro speeder as tightly as the Endor Rebel did, but with some clear dental rubber bands, I don't think that will be an issue.

SS on left, what is the piece on the right?

Looks like the Hasbro, either the one that came with the speeder or the one that was released later by itself that's pictured below. It might be on a new body and the helmet could be the Tomy?

Here's my review of the new Sideshow Collectibles Scout Trooper 1/6th scale figure. Overall, it's a fantastic addition to the classic original trilogy trooper collection! Hope you can check it out :)

Bring on the TIE Pilot and AT-AT Driver I say!! Sideshow still seems a way off in terms of human headsculpts, but overall I am always happy with their troopers!

I would like to know why BBTS can ship this figure for $9.19 anywhere in the continental USA, but SSC charges $18.63.

What is the deal?

BBTS just shipped my Trooper 2-pack for $6.50 - that's way less than I could ever ship it for using the same carrier.

I bet BBTS's volume blows SSC's away, so they get a better rate.

Sideshow isn't charging customers for shipping based on the rates they pay. I'm sure they do enough volume to qualify for some of the lowest rates in the business (not including heavyweights like Amazon of course).

As an example (and there have been a few before), the non-exclusive Scout has shipping charges of $20.56 to Niagara Falls NY, vs $18.63 for the Exclusive. They're probably just playing fast and loose with shipping to pad the product price. I'm not saying the rates are higher than retail price, but they're certainly higher than their volume discounts necessitate.

These are FedEx/UPS Saver/Ground shipping charges BTW - delivery takes about 5-7 days (easily 3-4 days longer than USPS).

Outlander is correct. I used the armour off the hasbro scout that came with the Speeder bike. The body is a soldier story with a head inside the tomy helmet. The pants are the black combat version either from the barney Ross or Revenger. The cumber and pouches were made a fellow freak on these boards quite some time ago. I also added the neck collar from the sideshow sandtrooper. Gloves are from sideshow Commander Praji or Darth Maul.
