Holy moly that is a big size difference.

Received my replacement helmet and took a few new pics.

As you can see the eyes are not painted but are a smokey tint.

Nice pic as well. SS can do some really good figures. It's just their human paint apps that let them down. The new bodies are a big improvement on the old.

I'm torn on the Pilot Luke. While no guarantee we'll ever get one, I think I'm gonna hold out for an ESB pilot outfit Luke.

Nice photos folks! I got mine today, no regrets here. Very nice representation of the pilot. Great stitching on the suit, nicely weathered boots/gloves, and beautiful helmet/chest box. I do feel it is a bit too tall, as i have considered these guys generally shorter than most storm troopers. Perhaps I'm wrong about that? The stock body is improved but still lags behind the true type imo. This guy will never be in an aggressive pose anyway. Two of these on each side of vader would great imo. Must resist!

Not buying this figure per se.....but I bought Flosi's Marmit bash. He suggested upgrading the suit which arrived yesterday. It's on a shorter SS body so I think it works well. I'll post some better pictures later.

Does anyone knows if the Tie Pilot has a holster with Blaster appearing in any of the movie scenes?

From what i remember, none is ever seen with a holster in the OT. Does not prevent mine to be displayed with one though.

On the whole, tie pilot looks good. The belt however looks like it's cracking right out of the box. Also lack of paint apps and hollow feel of the helmet, no way is this a $200+ figure.

I still have 3p0, r5 and jawas on order...but after that, I'm done with SS for Star Wars

Tie pilots never carried sidearms, the were really just added for the toys and video games.
