I don't know how widespread this, but I do know that word of mouth can really start to kill a business over stuff like this, if it's not addressed quickly, professionally, and honestly.

Someone asked about the Dinosauria pieces before. I remember at least one member having an issue with the paint flaking/crackling on their Rex VS Trike Dio before. Since I've been looking for it on all mine..luckily nothing has turned up yet.

The 30 day return policy sure doesn't seem to cut it now ehh??

Is SS going to start selling extended protection plans on their products like other retailers? for a smalll one time or monthly fee of course...:monkey1

Just got home and checked my Queen. I'm glad to say she looks fine, for now, with no flaking. Damn, I love her too! It's not right to love an object like that, but I do. She is awesome.

However, this flaking issue has me quite concerned about my habit of buying Sideshow stuff. :(

I noticed the paint on one of the horns of my darkness bust is starting to crack. :(

This is horrible. I've put so much money into these products in the last year and it looks like I picked the worst year to do it as far as SS products go.

Are you referring to the 1:1 Darkness bust or the LSB? If it's the 1:1 that would suck so much worse.

True. In the past I didn't have any issues, but in the last year and a half I've had to have several pieces sent back for replacements and in particular this past year more so. Hopefully 2010 isn't going to be worse.

Yeah hopefully and like most people here i have loads ordered and would hate to have any problems like this.

It really sucks for the people that have spent all that money having these problems i feel for them as i know how i'd feel. :(

If ANY of Chase's Darkness stuff starts flaking, peeling, etc... I think Sideshow will have to fear the King in a big way. :google

Guys, dont expect SS to come on here and admit to any of this. Because that would mean their "IS" a problem which will inevitably be followed by questions like "What lines or pieces will be effected?".."Will I get a full refund?"..."Is the problem being fixed?". Im sure SS doesnt even know the answer to these questions. So they will remain silent and carry on like nothing is the matter. After all, SS is a corporation...what corp have you ever heard of admiting to a problem of their doing?
Im sure SS is not looking forward to refunding hundreds of customers the cost of what they paid+shipping...and if they dont...they lose customers as a result. They have got themselves in quit a pickle...:monkey1

This is the fourth day since I sent an e-mail direct to one of the customer service reps that I have deal with on several returns and I haven't even received so much as a "we are looking into it" response. I suppose it is possible she is on vacation or something as well.

I should call later and find out what is going on.

I just wrote a very long winded email to SS on their "ask SS form" asking them to address the current issues.........................they wont answer:rolleyes:
