Just check my Darkness LSB and both horns have cracking!! It's not horrible yet but if it starts flaking then I'm not going to be happy.

Remember guys this site isn't affiliated with Sideshow in any way so I don't think its right to expect a response or explanation in this thread.
For those of you waiting for responses from Sideshow directly that's a different story and I hope the situation is resolved for you. This is a concerning problem and I hope Sideshow addresses the situation and takes steps to make it right and prevent it from happening again. Sideshow is a great company with awesome products and I know we'd all be sad to see them go down the drain.
Long winded email sent
Crap...I just checked mine out again and I there is a couple cracks forming in one of the horns
THIS IS ????IN' BULL????!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When items like this start flaking, they ought to have a special dispensation for those that ordered direct, and are the original owners.
Whats really ????ed up is that the one that is cracking now is a replacement for the one that came with paint falling off
So does anybody own a Darkness LSB which doesn't have flaking paint? Looks like everyone reading this thread who checked their bust is reporting problems. I just received this bust from an Ebay seller and it arrived with paint flaking all over it.I just did a close inspection also and guess what??? The left horn on mine has one started also.....
SIDESHOW!!!!! WTF?????
That's the exact reason I didn't take the replacement sabretooth LSB that was initially offered for the one I had that was just starting to show signs of cracking.
It's really a shame this is happening. I know we are all grabbing our torches and pitchforks and getting excited over this, but I think we have a legitimate reason to be upset and most of us, if not all of us, wish this sort of thing wasn't even happening. Some of us bought these items thinking that they might even be passed down to their kids, an heirloom even. How many threads have we seen title something like "What will you do with your collectibles when you die?" It should be up to SS to issue some formal response through their website, through here, wherever, or the increasing number of cases that get reported here is going to continue to get us worked up and ultimately the paranoia and word of mouth will have a negative impact on sideshow's sales and reputation. the first incidents were reported months ago, so hopefully some sort of solution is being worked out by now.
I feel a little bit bad badmouthing them, because I do (or did) love their products and excellent service, and the fact that they usually find a way to make things right when fiascoes occur, but I don't know how they can repair this sort of damage. This would be such a costly exercise to recall all the products made at suspect factories over the past 2-3 years that I don't even think it's an option.
Just my $0.02.
I remember basicly being told to go ???? myself by everyone here when I mentioned Sideshow having QC problems about 6 months ago.
Seriously though, I'm canceling 2 PFs, the Indy idol and temple statue if this isn't addressed.
I also just received the Alien queen diorama and I didn't notice any paint flaking issues, but WTF if I'm supposed to fondle the damn thing to see if the paint is coming loose anywhere
I hope all of you with these DEFECTIVE products get taken care of by Sideshow.
