Interesting. What do you suppose would have happened if Anakin decided to help Mace kill Palpatine? I know it's just because I love the character, but I think Palps would have fried both their asses.

I know this is a kick ass two pack. I'm hoping this set goes from PO to shipping in the shortest time ever.

In honor of this two pack I placed this order last night.

I agree. I always interpreted the prophecy as restoring balance by wiping the slate clean and beginning both the Sith and Jedi all over again...much like the function of 'The One' and the rebooting of the Matrix. Erase the corruption on both sides and let things rise from the ashes. A new Jedi Order arose after Vader's death, and the Sith resurfaced in a newer form as well. Of course, that's all EU material.

More like he had the potential to have Palpatine beaten. If those fairy tales as you call them (which I totally agree with you on) hadn't had such a grip on him, then that potential would've become the killing blow.

While he didn't expect them to move so quickly, Palpatine knew they were coming and was ready for them. If they came in with sabers drawn, Palpatine simply would've sprung right into action. I expect everything would've played out the same way.

This Palpatine 2 pack is a great idea. I hope they use this to give us some less popular characters by including them with a more popular character. For example, Sasee Tiin has the potential to sell well like Plo or Kit, but Agen Kolar is a bit meh. They both are needed to complete the Mace arrest squad though so it seems pairing them together would be a no brainer. Nute and Rune might be another example. I imagine C-3PO and R2-D2 would sell fine on their own, but a two pack for them is obvious (although Sam and Frodo would have been too).

Either way, I'm as excited as Maulfan and Customikey for Palps! This is now my most anticipated release! :emperor

C-3PO and R2 would be a definite shoo-in for a two-pack as would Nute Gunray and Rune Haako. Beyond that, perhaps army builder figures such as troopers and battle droids would be good as a two-pack option (as in sold individually and in a two pack for a $5-10 savings).

That weird voice is part of the con, in Lucas own words, Palpatine wasn´t tired at all.

I don't mean the "scared old man" voice, I mean the weird/satanic voice that phases in and out after he's dispatched Mace.

Yeah, that's why I love both sagas. Anakin and Neo have so many parallels: they're both the Chosen One, have premonitions of their lover's death, and choose to save their lover over the greater good. Guess they're both based on that same age-old mythology.

An other great two pack would be Lando and a bottle of 'Colt 45'. I'd buy it! Lando better be waring a cape though.
