Giving up on these lines makes no sense. Would I love them to be coming out faster. Sure that would be freaking awesome but right now things are what they are. I'm in both lines 1:6 and PF for the long haul.

I believe it is our right to know if this PF line will continue or not.

There is a friend of mine asking me to sell my Lurtz exc and if the line will not continue I do not see any reason why I shall not sell him. If PF line will be dead I might continue with Diaroma but SS shall say us clearly

I've just watched "The Two Towers" tonight. I really hope we get to see the fellowship completed.

I am watching "Fellowship" right now. I really can't wait for the next announcement.

Yeah, I mean for a licence that has been fairly popular, I am surprised at the lack of a new announcement, how long has it been...a year??

We're going on our 13th month right now

There is no chance of SS doing this. They are still trying to sell Lurtz and Frodo, also the secondary market prices would plummet on these if they did. Not that i'm that bothered though cos these are keepers for me either way

Why do you think Sideshow would care about secondary market prices plummeting?

No I was meaning from the perspective of the collector, I was meaning that sideshow would only care about not selling the rest of their stock.

Is this real the end of all things ?????

I don't think this is the end, just the reality that LOTR is now a second tier license as far as SS is concerned.

why so negative?
I'm sure once they will announce more PF's suddenly a lot of opinions will turn ...

I'm pretty sure they will deliver us some magnificent statues !

What exactly was so negative about my comment  . Star Wars and Marvel are the big licenses with SS these days, LOTR is not. You need proof? Take a good look at the various products coming out of those two lines and the speed at which they sell out. Now compare that with LOTR products...quite a difference, isn't there!
My comment was not positive or negative, it was a realistic observation based on the evidence at hand.

Star Wars has had a lot of 1:6. The PF are only a few. Marvel has had very few PF and mostly comicquettes/dioramas. All these are difficult pieces to make but the costumes I would guess are easier than the LOTR ones.

And that is my reason why i will collect only LOTR.
I like the costume designs. You can see that this is the real work.

Sadly that may be the case, and it is quite ironic too; given that LOTR (SSW) put them on the map. :monkey2

I am a reluctant collector, if things don't start to be released in a reasonable manner - I am apt to find other priorities.

Yes, very true, but business is business and SS is going to take whatever path it needs to in order to remain successful.

For me the lack of LOTR action has been a bit of a silver lining though, as I have been able to focus on my 2nd love.....Universal Monsters, nothing from SS mind you, but some great collectibles nonetheless.

Laminate flooring. that is where my collecting dollars are now going. Atleast I know I will have a complete floor and not an incomplete bunch of statues with those dollars.
