I think that as long as we get two LOTR PF announcements this year the line won't seem so stagnant. Though I've got to admit having Frodo already out of the way makes the wait a lot more bearable.

I am really starting to think we will see 1 or 2 more of these SOMEDAY, but my hopes of having the complete fellowship before the year 2567 is starting to fade. There is just no reason for it to be over a year since the last announcement.

I feel your pain bro. This has the potential to be the best line that SS has and they are just shooting themselves in the foot with this kind of delay between announcements. Because even after it's announced, we're going to have to wait at least 6 months to see it in hand.

I'm sure they have a couple that are coming soon. My guess is that during R&D they may have hit a snag or two on things that would muck up a figure if they went with it as is. It sucks to be patient but I keep reminding myself it will be worth it in the end.

I think the delay will be sourcing the materials to keep the price down as LOTR costumes are very exquisite & detailed

I do believe my collecting is done now, I'm not gonna sit and dream of things that aren't there. Oh well, now I can finally get some work done around here with the money saved from no new releases. Haven't you read...there's been a few glitches in R&D. Perhaps SS thought they were designing components for a new space shuttle instead of some clothing for an over-sized doll.

I feel your frustration. I think the proper way to see the LOTR license is the same way you see anything not SW or Marvel: LOTR is one of Sideshow's "passive" lines. That's the same as the Horror line, Buffy, Musicians, Army of Darkness, Bond, etc.

Don't expect any items to come consistently for it. You just have to pick and choose a few here and there when they come out if you like them. If you plan a collection around LOTR Sideshow you'll end frustrated and waiting for a while to get all the characters you want. The only line I might expect a bit of consistency in is the dioramas since it's just getting started.

Well, couldn't you say that about the PF line as well? After only 2 figures, I would also say that this line has just started... and still, there is nothing I would call "coniststency"...

If you judge by the amount of pieces out then yeah, it's just getting started.

If you go by the amount of time since the LOTR PF line was announced then it looks a little more bleak...
