Re: Movie Version Hammer!!!

Both were made my Museum Replicas but Sideshow sold that hammer through it's website.

Both are ____ in my opinion. Museum Replicas doesn't care about accuracy. Look at their Iron Man helmet! No use of digital files, no where near accurate and no LED lights in the eye.

____ replicas.

I don't care about the helmets, I saw the pictures when they put them out and saw I didn't like them so I didn't buy them 8') I have no idea what your problem with the hammers is, they look like the comic hammer and have a nice solid heft to them. With the SS one looking the best. Some guy said the Factory X one was better, it is the EXACT same hammer mold. Let the hate go, the hammers have nothing to do with the helmets.

Actually I think the CA shield the Thor Hammer will be looking great with my WarCraft Sword, SW lightSabers and Dragon Age Swords

Re: Movie Version Hammer!!!

MR made the Ultimate comics one, FX DS and SS made the classic versions. I posted a while back asking about who might be making the movie one but seems as of yet no one is letting that news out.:impatient:

SS made the best version of the classic, the heads from all 3 companies were the same, but SS added some details to it and has the best handle.

Oh and I really want a movie Cap shield to go with my 40/60's ones. The movie one looks fantastic.

Here's where I got that Museum Replicas made the third version. The one with the battle scars and rock base:

I've seen the different versions of the Hammers in person and they look cheap for the retail price of $399. I have a confidence issue with Museum Replicas to make an exact replica of the movie hammer that has good quality and doesn't come with a plastic rock base.

Plus you can get metal comic replica hammers with much better quality for a lot less $

Yep, you're right, I think of it as the SS one since I bought it there.. I looked at the box in the garage yesterday and saw MR's logo in the corner. Heck I even refer to it as MR's in the thread I link the photos from, there's a FX one in the thread as well btw. :slap

I don't want this shield, I NEED it

Are these going to be retail items?? like from department stores? it looks like they are catching a fairly high price on the bay, since im not sure what the quality is like.

Those are ____, seen the shield at a LCS.

Those are Halloween costume items, plastic. They've been around.

prolly not :monkey2

I wish Sideshow would buy the license so they could do Marvel Props with some pride.

I wish Master Replicas was still around they could nail these pieces including the Iron Man helmets! Even though eFx is around they don't produce at the same scale as Master Replicas did...

That shield is sick. Thank god nobody can make it, I'd need a second job robbing banks to keep up :monkey1

I'd be willing to pay $600-700 for A PERFECT SHIELD REPLICA with real LEATHER HANDLES. :lecture

It'd have to be perfect none of this Museum Replicas half ass fast bull____ replicas that look like they were made with no regard to actual reference material... :slap

I remember being in a focus group with Corgi right after they bought Master Replicas and even though the topic was Star Wars, Marvel came up and the suggestion to make prop replicas for Marvel came up immediately. One of the reps from Corgi (I don't remember his name) said that they were low on the rung because they thought no one would buy them. They instead went with the comic scenes and the minis. The Spider-Man 3 1:1 mask replicas were canned because they were inaccurate and the material didn't look right and hung strange on their stands.

Master Replicas circa 2002-2004 would have done a bang up job on Marvel replicas, Corgi on the other hand would have done only about a step up over Museum Replicas if even at all.

I have Master Replica's Vader ROTS, Boba Fett ESB and Stormtrooper ANH 1:1 Helmets, 1:1 Photo Kermit and a few FX lightsabers. That being said they're amazing, accurate and worth every penny!

You do realize I said Corgi right? None of what you listed is Corgi. I have the mini Spider-Man masks both comic and film from Master Replicas that were done under Corgi supervision for the most part and they are crap. The comic version was actually done out of felt and that was the plan for the 1:1 mask! The reason that eFX's Star Wars stuff is so phenomenal is because the core of Master Replicas jumped ship to form that company. I'm not arguing the quality of the old (feels weird calling 2005 old...) MR stuff but I promise you the "new" under Corgi would have been complete garbage.
