I don't care for Bale.... but he's lightyears ahead of that terrible "actor" Hayden. Hayden's barely worked since. That says it all.

Either way "my" Anakin is a young Sebastian Shaw and I leave it at that, lol.

True. It was more about people's tendency to clap for anything than a direct comparison. Clapping with an introduction is kind of like saying Hi when meeting someone -- its expected.

Except Holdo didn't ruin the greatest villain in the history of cinema. Therefore Holdo >>>> PT Anakin.

(I wouldn't buy an action figure of either though, lol.)

To his credit, this scene where he didn't talk was great:

Few people noticed but he was actually crying, showing the huge internal conflict of the Vader character.

Also the "I hate you" part was really, really well acted imo. The makeup probably helped.

I'll always take a lesser new character over a ruined established one. That's why Jar Jar and the Pod Racer aliens never bothered me nearly as much as Anakin (Lloyd and Christensen), Kid Fett, or Ping Pong Yoda.

Yoda wasn't ruined in the PT. Some of the fighting was weird but at the same time, how are you gonna make Yoda fight regular humans with his size?

He had great scenes. The Sidious fight is epic. I'll take that any day over TLJ giggly Yoda who can affect the ****ing weather.

Astral projection, lightning from the sky, hitting them with his cane, etc.
