I don't have a subwoofer. I do have a $5,000 pair of Focal Trio6's plugged into an Apogee interface though, because I'm a mix engineer
I don't know what those are but they sound awesome.
If you don't know what they are, how do you know what they sound like?
Do you think if the internet was around decades ago, people would defend Fonzie, "jumping the shark" because Happy Days had other ridiculous stuff in it before that point?
"Focal Trio6" sounds awesome, lol. But I'm sure the actual sound that they produce is awesome too.
Probably wasting my breath, but if you can't see the difference between what has been lain down and what follows, your mind is just not capable. Do you see those people freezing and crystalline? No. Its not an engineering movie, its a space fantasy. You can like Ricky Bobby and you can like Days of Thunder, but trying to equate the two as similar movies by saying both made "racing" errors still just makes your argument ridiculous.
They do have a cool name

They are monitoring speakers, so speakers that go really high and really low with as flat a response as possible so that you can use them for pro applications like mixing. So when I watch a movie on the iMac, I hear roughly what the guy who did the mix of the dialogue, sound effects and music heard in his room.

Nice!
(And I don't think every aspect of the prequels suck, just having fun with the back and forth. )
Could you hear the cries of sadness for TLJ in the mixing room?
That's exactly what it is.Your never wasting your breath....but if you cannot look at OT with the same critical eyes as new films (any new films) you are failing to admit the impact these had on your childhood mind, that didn’t ask the grown up questions....
I know a lot of people who freely admit that space slug is one of the dumbest sequences in any Star Wars film.
But so many of us cannot see with a critical eye our childhood loves , and cannot see with a child’s eyes once our adult cynicism kicks in.
How about PT?
Vase built C3po? Is that stupidity protected by your childhood or were you old enough to see it for the contrived character placement it was?

Of course not, only feeble-minded Star Wars nerds do this crap.
After the disparity between The Last Jedi reviews and viewer feedback on Rotten Tomatoes, I won't be pre-ordering tickets for Solo, or see it opening weekend. I'm skeptical, and would have to see both decent reviews and similar viewer feedback before paying to see another Star Wars film. I definitely won't be seeing episode 9 or anything with Johnson attached to it. I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.
