The special modifications he mentioned in ANH presumably. I'm guessing he also makes a few to his face so he can turn into Harrison Ford by the end.

Maybe during the kessel run he smacks his face on the cockpit glass like old Garfield cats people used to put in their cars. Explain the scar and the complete rework of his face.

Could be a combination of things—reshoots, has curly hair. I think the actor normally wears his hair short cause it’s curly. The Baby Driver kid might have been a more natural-looking young Solo. Though I think his voice would also have been off—can’t remember it off hand.

I don't get the Han vibe , but he's in like 2 seconds pf the trailer...
I remember the Chris Pine backlash, and I thought he was a great young Kirk.

It feels more like Firefly to me right now, but I think thats the vibe here...

I think it was Wor who nailed the likely story.

Han, bad boy, gets into a moral delemia, and has to find a way out with negative consequences....

My guess is Clarke is a dead woman, and thats is the catalyst that sets Han into the sarcastic, pragmatist we see in ANH.

So, In a single film , they really need to focus on the secondary characters and how they affect Han, and less on how Han affects the world around him.

Remember , how he needs to end up. The genius will be if they can show why Han makes the decision to save Luke instead of his own ass....

No thank you. I love Chris Pratt but he couldn't do Han Solo. I could maybe see him as Indiana Jones, but there are better options out there.

Besides, do we really want Pratt as both Star Lord and Han Solo?

I feel nothing. It could be alright. Certainly didn't make me any more excited to see it then I was before the trailer. Aldrich seems...his own character. Not feeling Han but that was impossible given it's supposed to be a young Harrison Ford. That man is a living legend.

Funny how River Phoenix completely nailed a young Indy... Note perfect performance... And completely convincing as a young HF...

If only they'd found a really charismatic and trained young actor instead of just "some guy" who looks a bit like him...

Funny how River Phoenix completely nailed a young Indy... Note perfect performance... And completely convincing as a young HF...

If only they'd found a really charismatic and trained young actor instead of just "some guy" who looks a bit like him...

I think there's a mailman out there somewhere who serviced the Phoenix family back in the mid 70's and who has a strong resemblance to Joaquin.

Cause you wouldn't believe River and Joaquin were brothers even in a movie.

I'm still holding out hope that this could be...fun. I agree that Alden doesn't give me a pre-ANH vibe, but hopefully he can at least embody the character if not Ford, the man. It does have a bit of a Guardians of the Galaxy (and as was mentioned in this thread) a Firefly feel, which is funny since they were both influenced by Star Wars and the Han Solo character (in Quill and Mal). Art imitating art imitating art...Hoping it's a really fun movie in that way. With the cast including Glover and Harrelso and a script by Kasdan, it should be at least entertaining.

Just some guy acting his whole life who studied at NYU, worked with Coppola, Woody Allen, and the Coen Brothers.
