Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I am hoping the movie good. Trailer doesn't reveal much which is good. I don't want to see everything in in the trailer. I liked Last Jedi and my wife and I will go see this. I always liked Han Solo and never thought we needed a movie on his back story but I also didn't Blade Runner needed a sequel and that one turned out awesome. Looking forward to it. Sucks for everyone who hate everything before it comes out.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

there was no dirt in any of the empire ships or the first order...

They have the resources to keep everything clean. I wouldn't trust a smuggler with a ship all neat and tidy. Besides I figure Han and Chewie play Dejarik holochess too much and drink and screw space babes to be bothered with cleaning up after themselves.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

things just dont add up in this movie.. time.. looks.. If it would play 10 years before ANH.. they needed a much younger actor IMO ... and even in 10 years.. there is no way the Falcon gonna look like that much different...

These are the kind of complaints that I just don’t understand....I mean if your gonna hate a film right off the bat, come up with better reasons....

I know people who ruin a new car in two years.....

Try harder with your pre hate....

In space no one can hear you cream.

(Except in Star Wars. You can hear everything).

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I'll grant you that I never envisioned the Falcon as ever having been clean and fancy looking - I just don't find it implausible that it could degenerate over a 10 year period with an owner who lands on who knows what worlds, smuggling who knows what and who can't be bothered with cleaning anything.

They have janitors. That noble profession of which Finn was a member.

I dont think it is a problem of the old movies but a problem of the new movie. nothing else in Star wars looks as beat up as the Falcon, but that was part of its charm. it is not just dirt. the ship felt like it was decades old.
The new movie makes it look so clean and new that it is very jarring. makes han look like a very filthy guy. (more than it needs to be)

Gotta say, watched the trailer again this morning and I can see a lot of Han in this guys performance, more so than I figured I'd see.

Color me excited. This looks fun.

So instead of the falcon being a late 60's - early 70's classic muscle car that's decades old, it's a neglected mid 2000's modified muscle car... :(

theres no dust in space marmaduke

Seriously? Have you seen the space shuttle?

What do you think entering and leaving atmosphere does? It’s called burn for a reason....

Guys, you better work harder to hate this off a 1 minute trailer...

If it’s not trying to be the first to hate in it, then it a severe lack of imagination....

Cause drug runners boats are sparkling clean.....

I am one of the few people that liked the trailer, had nothing negative to say about it on first view

get off your high horse. you talk about pre hate and you are creating Pre Drama... :lol :thwak

You are so ready to argue about it, that a simple question for you is seen as pre hate making you ready for confrontation. give me a break.
take a break from this forum and come back when you are calmed down my brother

Translated for brevity: "Let's just ignore everything wrong with the movies section."

thats what i mean

the original trilogy made it look like they were driving a 70s Volvo today, that was still running but in bad shape. that was what I loved about it anyways. The empire has all these big great ships and Han has his busted 70s Volvo, the whole underdog thing

this movie makes it look like Han got a 2006 toyota tacoma that he beat up with a hammer and drove through the mud...
where's the charm in that?

Being a geek/nerd now makes you a cool kid. Well, it's actually been that way for a while now.

Yeah, but the geeks/nerds (us old timers & haters) question everything and break things down and critique them. The cool kids (millenials, lovers & SJW's) throw pep rallies and cheer for everything with blind love.
