That dude prolly doesn't want to get typecast into young Harrison Ford roles. :lol

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

After seeing the trailers for this, I see Disney is keeping the trend they have with the trilogy they're doing. I'm passing on this one, so disappointing but no more Star Wars for me - the best is behind us.

Re: Solo: A Star Wars Story (May 25th, 2018)

I have a feeling his attitude would have been 'get the role, worry about being typecast later'.

If he did audition I'm guessing they turned him down because they were worried about A) his acting for an entire film and B) the uncanny valley thing

a-dev is about a billion % right.

What homeless nobody would turn down playing Solo if offered, like NO ONE lol

No such thing as type casting when you are a zero casting.

I wish everyone could have the joy of experiencing Star Wars the way that my 7 and 5 year old sons do...my 7 year old came and grabbed me and said Daddy I want to watch the Star Wars with Tatooine and the Jawas (so IV not VI) and my 5 year old chimed in. Blu Ray goes on with the boys gathered around me. When C3po and R2d2 were walking through the sands of Tatooine my 5 year old asked if Tatooine is hotter than Jakku. When Luke made his first appearance they contrasted his youthful appearance with how different he is than when he is training Rey on the island and reacted with the fascination they have to seeing childhood pictures of me or my wife. When Obi Wan Kenobi showed up to save Luke they both referenced the excellent "Twin Suns" episode of Star Wars Rebels (if you haven't seen it don't want to spoil it but there is an amazing connection). Then they referenced Padme's death in Episode III during a Vader scene. They were cheering when Han Solo made his first appearance and even though they have seen the movie a bunch of times this character resonated with them on a new level because we have been watching the trailer for the "new Star Wars movie" together so much. After the credits rolled they immediately asked to watch the Solo trailer again...say what you want about them being 5 and 7 but this is the way Star Wars is meant to be enjoyed and for anyone who is asking how people can "still like it" my only suggestion may be to spend a Sunday afternoon with my kids. Christmas as an adult is kind of weird...but Christmas with kids always feels like Christmas.

:clap :clap :clap The 9 year old me agrees! :rock

Disney is not going to redo OT or PT.....

I want to see some old republic movies. Bring me some Darth Bane.

An old Republic movie would be very cool to see. :hi5:

I want to write a script about the “Old Sideshow Republic” before the dark times before the TLJ thread.

We'll see if Dollar Store Han Solo works as a beta male.

What defenders of these movies may not understand or maybe haven't experienced for themselves, is that this is what women want, no matter what the propaganda says.

That’s the smartest post I’ve read in this thread. :lecture

Sorry, but I'd rather not take advice from an "expert" on relationships from someone who watches 10 minute youtube videos on how to get laid.... I'm sure someone will think it's helpful. :)

An easy keyword search is all it takes.

Here's hope it's at least a solid space adventure film, Star Wars or not.
