I think you can get the issues delivered quicker for an extra $5 or something. Jorge Blanco offered two parental scenes with Stegosaurs for the previous issue, #93. My favorite shows the baby rubbing against the adult's leg, recalling scenes with young foals.

Smaller pieces would be welcome, as well as bust - which I would be particularly interested to see done.

Was this in the new PT interview? Balls that I have yet to receive the issue myself.

Yeah, it had some nice tidbits..most of which I posted before your post which I replied to..lol It was shorter than I expected and only interviewed one guy connected to the project...it also did shed much light on query to how the pieces come about either.

It did mention the team so far :

Tom Gilliand ( he was the interview-ee, but not sure what his role is )
Anthony Mestas ( in-house designer )
Pablo Viggiano
Adrian Tboada
Jorge Blanco
David Krentz
Tony McVey

Thanks, don't put yourself through any trouble though. Its not a big deal.

No trouble..it's something to discuss and share anyway right ? ;D

The sketches in question are on page 22 of Prehistoric Times #92, they are by Jorge Blanco.. he doesn't have an online site that I can find though..I need it to actually locate the images since I lack a scanner ( any help Dan ? Someone ?

They basically show a rounded base rock and minimal vegetation, they both show a mother basically on guard..or at least wary I would say and one juvenile..in the first the Sego is walking and the juvi is looking down into a pool..the 2nd the mother looks wary but could just be sunning as it looks pretty much like some lizards I seen..head up tail down all four feet planted firmly. The baby is standing much like the mother though it appears to be looking at something. I would guess this one to be about 22" long, 12-13" tall and maybe a 12" wide base..just guessing based on on previous pieces and the sketches.

Those both sound pretty awesome. I'm stoked for them and I'll cancel anything else I have for the Stegos.

Has anyone noticed that their are absolutely no Dinosauria pieces for sale on ebay? I dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing..

But Im betting this piece will be the one to change that once its sold out?.........maybe :huh

You might want to try a different search parameter, as I always see them there (sometimes I even list them there myself). I just searched "Sideshow Dinosauria" and found six results.

Sorry Blade, I tried to snap a shot of the image, and discovered my camera won't power on anymore. Murphy's law. :slap

Well..here it is :

What can I say ? I tried eh ? lol

Thanks Blade! They're good enough to get the gist and I love the second one. But if they actual piece is based off either its going to be great.

wow! that stego maquette would definitely be the best one once it comes out...unless of course SS produces a stand-alone trike maquette, or a torosaurus, then that would rule over the others, ceratopsians are my favorite! hehe.

anyway, so does anybody else from here agrees that this might be a part of this much-anticipated maquette?

by its given pose, this could be the baby stego on the first sketch. i like the second one better, but either way, i'll definitely get a piece of this.

To all those that slept sleepless nights worrying over the identity of that image above I have news...

drumroll...

It is the head of Stegosaurus ! ;D

Yeah a lot of us here and on other forums thought that might be the case, of course others supposed pterosaurs and even a Basilsosaurus...but now we know. I'm guessing it was a pretty rough piece at the time of the photo...as even knowing what it is I can just barely see it...lol

I kindo of like the first one a bit better due to the movement and the baby looking down at it's reflection in the water..that could really neat if done...water added to any piece also increases the awesome factor I think..especially since we know Sideshow can pull it off so well what with the Deinosuchus piece and all.. ;)

Not him...but I can't say who anyway.. lol

Honestly he has no site and no email I've found yet so I've way no way to even ask.. :/

That image came out..what summer last year ? So it's pretty old and may have been changed or updated..I just like knowing what the devil it is finally... lol

Oh, I know what you mean. I tried finding Jorge Blanco's website or e-mail, to no avail. Then one day he popped up as a fan on Dan's Dinosaurs Facebook page. :lol

If the Stegosaurus maquette is going to be huge, then I think I must start saving a lot of $$$ in order to purchase it here (its going to obviously cost more than $1000 here....)

I do currently have enough money to pre-order the Spinosaurus maquette though....:yess:
