SS EPII Obi Wan

Getting back to the more important questions, why does this figure look less than stellar? It should look the same as clonobi. I sure hope those pics are not showing the true final product, but after hearing Noise's in person complaints it seems like another ^^^^up by SS in the final outcome again. And should not be tolerated by 1/6 SS SW consumers anymore. After passing on clonobi waiting for this incarnation, seems like i might be in for another let down by SS. (only future pics will tell i guess)

I don't like to whine but Jesus christ a little consistency in the final product please.

There is still no 100% proof that the pics is a full production released figure. It could be packaged sample for all we know.

Ok guys, I know I promised to take pics of the actual product from the shop but I won't be doing that now. I went to the shop today and found out that since I posted in this thread and linked the forum, the shop has been getting influx of mails (I assumed from members here) accusing the shop of bogus listing and selling a fake item because the item looks less than steller from their pics in their forums.

There were also mails saying that SS CS on the phone confirmed that the item is definitely not out yet and the shop is less than honest and selling a fake product.

I have known the owner for more than a decade and my actions have directly affected the reputation of his store and I feel bad about this.

Thankfully Maulfan has managed to get word from SS confirming the released of this item internationally and if he didn't, who knows how many more of such mails they will be getting?

I am really disappointed at how quick some member/s here accused me and the shop of BS.

I have been posting extensively in the DC section and have been providing HT insiders news (which are all accurate) from time to time here and many members here have been buying from XL-Shop and I was really surprised by the reaction to my initial posting here. It's not like I am posting for the time here.

In fact you guys should be pointing hands to SS for screwing you guys over with the release date and also at how the final product being less than stellar (It is to be expected from SS, nothing weird).

noisetrigger, don't worry... you have sufficient "street cred" here and not everyone doubted you. Your contributions are always valued.

Remember too that Clonobi was cast in skin colored resin (HT style) whereas it is likely this piece is back to the old way of painted skin and that most likely accounts for the discrepancy in paint job between EpII and Clonobi.

Incidentally, I actually don't think the in-box shots look all that bad.

Remember too that Clonobi was cast in skin colored resin (HT style) whereas it is likely this piece is back to the old way of painted skin and that most likely accounts for the discrepancy in paint job between EpII and Clonobi.

Or it could be this figure was done before Clone Kenobi shipped, hence the painted head.

All figures since Clone Kenobi have been cast in flesh. This one doesn't look like it. Since the sculpt neck was first, it could be this figure was intended to come out before Clone Kenobi and that is why it is not flesh cast.

I hope that when AOTC Anakin is released we don't get a "bare bones" version. I want accesories and extras!!

Ya don't have to like it, but there's still truth to what he's saying. And before the finger pointing begins, here's the content of my email request to them which is hardly accusatory:

Dear Sirs,

I am contacting you regarding the SS Obi-Wan Ep. II 12" you have listed at your ecommerce. There have been some rumors floating around some of the action figure forums that you actually have this product in stock. Would it be at all possible to provide me with a product number from the box or potentially a link to some in-hand photographs? I'd greatly appreciate a response either way.

Yes! I mean he should have his Poncho, robotic arm, different lightsaber(from geonosis) I think that AOTC Obi-Wan could have had a few accessories himself, that's all. I just think that Obi is a bit bare.
