Exactly, it'd be unrealistic to think both instances of news might not be met with skepticism with the facts of release dates, but at the same time, it's irrational to attack people without your facts straight too, especially as effortless as I proved things to be. I took a minute to fill out a CS email in the afternoon, by night the matter was cleared up, no problems, all is right in the world.

I still haven't gotten a response from SSC (not saying yours isn't legit). As for the other, all I saw and still see are what look like package promotional pics, not "in hand" photos but photos with a pro background and a boxed figure that are very much like Sideshow's package promos of Snake Eyes. In stock or not, we still haven't seen any "in hand" photos as promised

The photos posted are similar to Sideshow's because its'a good way to market, but they're definitely taken by a non-pro, they're not as crisp or high res looking as SSC's images.
Josh you should look into scoring a proper undershirt and boots from the AOTC figure to round off your custom.
Don't forget ignited saber too, can't fight off Maul with a hilt.
Yeah, I may keep him using this one though. Anzik actually made that one himself.
I think somebody said someone was selling AOTC Kenobi on ebay. Here it is. He has 2 available.

Well, I gotta thank Noise for getting that image on the boards. After speaking with my LCS and the place where I pre-ordered I got out from under this figure.
If the actual piece turns out better than the pics we've seen here I can pick it up at my LCS for just $8-10 more than I was getting it on pre-order, if I think it's worth it at the time.
These boards are a wealth of information and help!

Yes, foreign retailers were given an option to take earlier receipt to avoid fees and stuff around the holidays and the shipment for direct from SSC distribution should be coming sooner, not right now, probably at least a month from now as the boat is usually weeks out.
play.com is listing the figure as temporarily out of stock, when the last time I looked, it was listed as a pre order item.

Couldn't find a thread about this figure so I thought I'd mention here that my wife surprised me last night with the Order of the Jedi/ROTS Obi-Wan. The cool thing is she found it online for $25 total! All it was missing was the cloak and lightsaber, and I happen to have extra of both so other than the box it's the whole package, it was even sent in the clear plastic carrier from inside the box; the figure is prestine! (I wonder if this thing is hot!?)
To be honest, while not as exact as the Alec Guinness Kenobi, looking straight at it the sculpt is better than online pics show. Maybe it looks better cause we got it so cheap, but I'm loving this thing. Now I have old and young(er) Ben waiting for Darth this spring. Now I'm REALLY glad I dropped EPII Fake Beard Ben, unless it too looks better in person I suppose.

I got a ROTS Obi at christmas time. Fantastic all round, love the head sculpt. I kind of have him side on, looks great!
The only bad thing with it was the beard was un-even. Right up the side of his face and around on his chin on one side, completely different on the other. I Decided to repaint it. It looked daft when looking at his head straight on. It was either try to get rid of the higher beard on one side, by painting some flesh on there, or making the beard higher on the other side to make it match. I went with the latter, and i'm very pleased with how it came out. I'd rather of thinned the beard out on the other side, but it wouldn't have worked. Not a big job by any means, but i've never had a paint brush near a 1/6th head before, used to painting smaller models! I wish id took pics of the before and after effects...not to be. So anyway, yeah!

If you ever want a really good ROTS Kenobi head sculpt, get a Darren Carnall's Kenobi head sculpt and replace the SS one. just a suggestion.
