Whew! I thought I was the only one who can't stand that guy!!
Yeah use the money to upgrade that leia sculpt with some new duds.
For a guy who has no Yoda at all and only just started collecting Star Wars but wants a Yoda in his collection, should I pick this one up or pass?
I'm basically asking if this one is really as bad as people say it is, or is it worth it's money?
And yeah, Sean is an annoying brat. Especially his **** Yoda immitation got on my nerves..

The first handful of reviews I watched of Sean Long did not show his face only his hands and I swear I thought it was a ASIAN guys. He has a Asian sounding voice. "WORD UP BIG KIDS"!! I like to repeat this over a few times and it annoys my wife!!
Honestly I don't mind his reviews. I like "Character" reviewers like Sean Long, Nany Dee, Clipper King, Hot CHIX etc. It gives a nice rounded overall approach with different perspective to the reviews. Great job guys.

Personally, just going off what I've seen so far, my pick would be SSC ESB Yoda (some prefer Medicom's, too). Not a huge fan of the prequel look to begin with and never liked this version, even as a proto. That said, if you've waited this long, wait a little longer for in-hand pics and comparisons and then decide.

Hard to say from one in-hand review... honestly overall the quality looks comparable to the original Yoda release, if not maybe a bit better. The lightsaber looks like it was half-assed on this one, but the rest is really not that bad.
Having said that, I think it's still possible to get the ESB version for around retail and being more of an OT guy I'd go with that one over this release.
I PO'd this day one and honestly it still looks good enough to own. Also, I used t he $25 off Valentine's Day code so I'm getting the exclusive for around $85 shipped; which helps take a bit of the sting out of it

Thing is, over here the ESB Yoda costs more than this one.. Pure quality wise, which one do you think would win if they cost the same? I just want a Yoda tbh, don't care about which version XD

W/o holding them it's hard to say... a issue I have with the ESB is the body is quite loose. I can get him in a sweet spot w/o a stand (since he's in the hut display) but I find him toppled over every couple of months and getting him back up again is a pain
But the paint on the ESB figure is solid and he comes with a nice assortment of accessories. From the video the paint work on this new one looks about the same, if not maybe a smidge better and he comes with even more stuff although personally I don't plan on using either of the chairs for him Once I get in the new one I'll be happy to give you a full report if it would help with the decision.
