Im really torn about this piece as I've dedicated to making the DC Batman circle my first line of PF pieces (Joker, Ivy, Batman, etc). With Joker and Ivy on order, I cant really turn away from this piece even though Im not 100% about it.

I am convinced in person this is going to be the standard by which other PF are judged. I think SS wanted to knock it out of the park. If the photos just look great, then he will look excellent/ amazing on your shelf.

After Seeing all the up close pics at SDCC this wasn't one I was doubting. If I were you I'd jump on the waitlist for the EX or go for the reg. but don't waste too much time thinking about it. They might be high Edition Sizes but they won't be around forever.

so you want to have your first line of PF's around the Batman series........and youre wondering about ordering BATMAN....

Really dude! You can't start the line and get everything but Batman! If you really don't like the piece that much I'd recommend the DC Direct Batman Vs Killer Croc piece, but I don't think it's the same scale as these SS PFs. So get the SS Bat!

If you don't like it, you shouldn't buy it. There will be more Batman PFs of that you can be 200% assured.

I personally think the headsculpts of all the SSC Batman stuff (1:1 Bust, PF, 1/6 figure) are pretty darn strange. Andy B's stuff is usually great but I think he went too far with these.

Another thing that made me laugh was the fact that people are convinced this is not the best Sideshow can do. So they seem most confident that SS next "Bats" installment will be better. No way am going to even take the chance. JMHO.

I think they will revist Batman but probably not anytime soon. They just started the DC PF line and there are SO MANY characters they can use. I can see maybe another bats pf in 3-4 years though.

I'm sure they will do another Batman at some point, but it will be quite a ways down the road. Hell, we won't have this one in hand for at least a year. When they revisit Batman it will probably be a golden age, silver age or new 52 version. You may not see a modern age version again.

Yeah, been doing the SS thing for almost ten years. I have never used any points till now. Needless to say, I still have a pretty good amount left in the point bank.

Wow 10 years! really how do you keep this up for 10 years without quitting this hobby. I think about quitting everyday when my brother blast me about wasting money, and say I bet you will sell them all later on, wouldnt you rather save the money fir other better things etc. I tell you it's tough to hear that. But congrats to younger lasting 10 years!

If people are gonna wait around for another Batman Pf it'll be a long wait and likely be a different version and possible a different scale like comiquette, so be sure about passing this up.

yea, i think people who are passing are not very big batman fans. you can wait but i think this will be as close to a classic comic version that we will get for a LONG time...5-6 years at least. the next version will be either a 1/5 (fail) or a movie version, which could be cool but not the same obviously.

Exactly ondi. There are few pieces that don't go up in price the second they are sold out from sideshow, especially popular characters and lets face it they don't get much more popular than Batman.
