Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

I just got back from the con.

Boy people who are complaining about the price of this masterpiece have no idea how huge this PF is. I was blown away, I am still in awe. I own many PFs NONE of them come close to this as far as getting your attention. This statue deserves ONE shelve of besta by himself.

If you have seen this in person you will not complain $400 price tag, if Ivy is $350, honestly $400 is almost a bargain for this guy.

This PF is MASSIVE, the base, the cape, the cloth, ah it is a thing of beauty, pics do not do this piece a justice.

If you like Batman and you like Premium Format this Statue is a MUST for you. IMO this is the BEST PF that Sideshow ever created hands down.

Oh btw you can CLEARLY see the batarang and it's compliment the statue a lot. I thought the EX is weak before I saw this in person, I was wrong, the EX is not weak at all.

You made me get on the wait list for the EX. I was going to just buy the regular to avoid taxes and save over $70, but screw it.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

If you're going to have only ONE Keaton Batman, yes, I have to agree that the HT one is the one to get. But you gotta get at least Reeve as well buddy. Then you're finished. :panic:

When i first saw the 89 HT reveal I was so blown away that I checked the Reeves and had been debating buying it.
But now that I've seen the Superman PF I'll get the instead.

And I still want the Ross Clak Kent opening his shirt from DCD thoug, love that piece. Anyway :offtopic:

I in same boat my man and it's good to hear someone's else is to. It's gonna cost me more as well but it bats so the ex is worth it to me. As it will be with superman when he goes up for PO.

:1-1: congrats to you too my friend! This is goingbto be worth the extra money! :hi5:

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Good to know. I just hope they don't go crazy with the ES for the Ex. But... it's Batman so they probably will. Didn't they do 2000 pieces for the Darth Vader Ex PF? Although those are hard to find too. I got my Batman Ex on order and glad I'm being rea$$ured by the positive word of mouth on this piece.

These will be sought after in the end. As all these EX and Regs settle down in their respective homes where people love and cherish it, they are gonna be a pain in the a$$ to find. Mark my words. They will be worth a few bucks even with the higher ES cause no one is going to want to part with him. Just my 2 cents. :wink1:

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Thanks for the pic Harper. One of the best so far.

agree. after watching all the comiccon videos on youtube I'm even beginning to like the head with the short ears - I really hope the final product will be this awesome.

I still wish they would have made joker pf head more like the new 12".... :(

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

That is a relief and is good to hear mate. Glad you aren't being violated too badly. You have just aquired some great stuff. :yess:

and the statues most likely won't decrease value - that's a fact that makes me order them.
Infact getting them here is so expensive I thought about not ordering anything else but PF's.

Boba Fett 12" is on it's way to me and I regret it. And Iron man mk 1 2.0.
only HT I need is a Iron Man mk 7 - after that no more HT for me. If they make a new Iron Man pf from avengers - no more HT at all.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Supes looks like it'll be my 2nd PF so far, especially if the 2nd headsculpt is angry/red eyes like everyone thinks it will be.

I went through the usual 1/6 Hot Toys phase that everyone does before jumping to PFs, luckily though it only lasted long enough for me to get '89 Batman and the Dark Knight Rises Batman. I probably won't buy another 1/6 scale figure.

lol - im sitting here regretting buying 12" - luckily only 2 is ordered, but I know that feeling. When i saw all the HT iron man stuff i was like 'collect ALL the HT' but reality set in early - thankfully.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Wow 10 years! really how do you keep this up for 10 years without quitting this hobby. I think about quitting everyday when my brother blast me about wasting money, and say I bet you will sell them all later on, wouldnt you rather save the money fir other better things etc. I tell you it's tough to hear that. But congrats to younger lasting 10 years! :clap

I've been collecting since the first lotr movie and even tho i lay low in periods the interests is always there.
reason my collection is not massive is prices, shipping and customs - but half the fun is the wait and getting that ultimate piece. 1 of my 1. pieces is still my favorite. And that feeling has never left me.

I'm new to PF and missed some great ones, becase I was 'out of the game'. I only have the stormtrooper and it's great, but i need that new jawdropping centerpiece that hopefully will be Batman and Ivy a close second.

I've been a member here since 2005 and back then i seem to recall it all being lotr, but it really has grown big - so stay interested and get your favorites - personally I won't miss out again. :)

Well you can make that four cents now my friend :1-1: :hi5: agreed.

Re: Official Sideshow Batman PF

Tell me about it. When I first found SS I made numerous errors in ordering and regret them to this day! :monkey2

everytime i read a post like this the very first cave troll, balrog and witchking haunts me - i remember the day i sat looking at the orderpage thinking 'wow those are expensive'.... if only i had bought them....

edit: i see alot of places that people only want 1/4 and everytime people mention 1/5 they make a :pfft: or the like. Is SS making worse items now in that scale or what? I have ordered the Predator and Ringwraith statues and the Predator EX is still for sale even tho it's only 750 pcs.

You fellas know something I don't? I'm getting nervous here! ;)

Nah, not that big a deal. But to many 1/5 is the red headed step child for some reason. 1/4 just looks better to me and any 1/5 scale items I ever had we're surrendered to a far better looking Sideshow 1/4 piece. Not to say there aren't some amazing 1/5th items out there.

Honestly, I have never bought anything I didn't want or am unsure about. If you love it and can afford it then buy it. You won't regret it. Other than the financial side my only condition in buying a SS statue is that I have to love it. Enjoy your SS collectibles Snipe :wave

Once you get 1/4 scale pieces in your collection, you will know what we are talking about. i have a few 1/5 and I like them but they just aren't as impressive. the 1/4 scale definitely makes a difference...esp for larger characters. i'm not buying anything smaller than 1/4 anymore unless it is something i absolutely have to have.
