I saw a declaration that even artists aren't allowed to draw X-Men related pieces.

Not true

And Yankee-it was becuase the torso (body) was causing problems on the engineering side. They said should (fingers crossed) be shown at SDCC so that was the plan

Well nothing of the sort has ever been communicated from Sideshow. You might be thinking of some bruhaha with XM Studios which may or may not have anything to do with Fox and Marvel - it's pure speculation.

Yeah people are just guessing and then other people are taking that as gospel. Just like this article I talked about. The xM thing has nothing to do with an industry wide ban. Look at sideshow...they are about to release new xmen statues. The XM issue is specific to XM.

Sideshow has two statues about to release xmen related I believe. A Emma frost and Jean.

As there has not been any official announcement made on it (and it has been some time since the reveal),
speculations made by collectors are a given. I'm not that much of a Wolverine's fan but I'm actually looking
forward to this among others from SS and would hate to see some of them being canceled.

Actually there has been official announcement. A ssc rep was the one that said it was delayed becuase of the torso engineering and the plan was to have the reveal at sdcc15.

All the companies that had stuff into production before the decree get to produce those items. XM gets to do Wolverine and Phoenix. Kotobukiya gets to do Rogue. Sideshow gets to do Jean and Emma. Nothing is supposed to come after that. That's really what Grumpy Bear was trying to get at with his post. XM gets to finish their in production pieces like everyone else and then they must stop like everyone else.

I don't understand what you are saying.

Like rjszar said before. :wink1:

I mean SSC can still bring out the statues, because it works before disney do the cut. After the cut anything from XMen / FF is on hold.

@rjszar... Thx. :hi5:

And that's based on what?

My point was what's going on with XM is not industry wide.

There are other items up or going up for sale that are xmen related that are months after those you mentioned. Like the sentinal through ssc.

You really need to read much more, more outside this board. Ask XM, ask SSC, ask Kotobukiya
and don´t forget to ask Disney. :wink1:

Sentinel from SSC, yes because SSC statues are on PO and you must wait 12-18 month for it.
There is nothing going on with XM. :lol

Any time you'd care to grace us with a link to an official announcement, we'd all love to see it, otherwise it remains unsubstantiated rumor propagated only by forum and Facebook users.

But it´s not my job to prove a unsubstantiated rumor propagated by forum and facebook users is wrong. :wink1:

Take your time and ask XM, SSC and Kotobukiya. You can´t do it here, Statueforum. If you don´t care
and trust in rumors, no problem and not my problem. :wave

It's also not your job to spread rumors, so you might as well stop.

This is my point.

You act all snarky like you got some inside info becuase you emailed or called (at best) customer service about something that if true they would be LEGAllY banned from discusion so no way you got actual confirmation...all started becuase of an announcement from XM that they had to suspend some products and couldn't talk about it. That 18 month window excuse is crap. Product can be pulled at anytime. If they wanted to pull a licenses or stop it they could just with hold approvals. But outside of doing that they can't just pull a licensing agreement becuase they no longer want to support the brand. Legally that's not possible.

You may not have to prove anything...but what you want is someone to prive something isn't happening? But you keep saying it is. Calling me out.

Have you ever worked in this industry? Ever seen one of marvels licensing agreements? One with sideshow or Bowen? I have. On all accounts. My family studio currently has a licensing agreement with Marvel. for comic based items. Which includes xmen. Funny how we have not been told anything about a ban.

I know all about why XM is having trouble. And their issues are exclusive to them. It's not industry wide. And you mentioned koto..they have several other new products for xmen in the pipeline that have not been revealed. A few marvel now xmen figures even.

I do read outside of here. But just becuase it's on another site doesn't make it true. The article linked here from all most two years ago now (long past the 18 month magically window that is total crap becuase they have the approval of product at every single step along the way and can stop it or hold it up at any point, but can only stop production on a whole license if there is a violation of the licensing agreement or it expires and the negotiations fall apart...so there's why XM is having issue..can only be one of those..and yes I'm aware of which one)...anyway..that article is full of bad info and guess work based on rumor. Much like what you said.

But I'm sure the customer knows more about the bts process then the person that works for these companies. I love that argument over and over.

And again-marvel just recently released a poster for their new comics lineup and upcoming look and guess whom it has front and center? FF and xmen characters. If they wanted to bury the characters they wouldn't need 18 months to wipe them from their own stuff.
